Kia ora hey! My name is Haylie and I am a middle distance runner, master's student, actress and student support worker. I am studying an MSc in International Development part-time here at the University of Edinburgh while training and competing, as well as picking up casual hours teaching and supporting students. Moving to Edinburgh has been great fun, but I grew up in LA as a Kiwi-American. I lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for most of my adult life, where I also completed my bachelor's in Education with minors in Politics and TESOL. Hello, I'm Sophie, a third year Undergraduate student studying Modern Languages at University. I have an enthusiasm for languages and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I can guarantee you’ll have productive and enjoyable sessions with me. In my free time I enjoy dancing Latin dances such as Bachata and Salsa, am a white belt in Jiu-jitsu and like socialising as well as practicing my language skills. I am fluent in Russian due to my heritage, and have visited Moscow annually during the summer holidays. I have previous experience with volunteering at the Instituto Cervantes in London for a year, as well as underwent an internship for Language Teaching at a secondary school academy in London. For my third year of University, I have studied for 6 months abroad in Spain at the Auntónoma University of Madrid, specialising in the Spanish language, culture and history. Currently, I am offering tutoring in Spanish from KS3, GCSE to A levels.

I am a chemical engineering student at the University of Cambridge. I primarily teach Maths and Science subjects, up to and including A Level. I’m currently studying a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, having completed my undergraduate degree in Physics; I love the subject and technologies that are based on interesting physics. In my spare time, I design and build effects pedals for musical instruments. I love music and I play guitar in a band, gigging regularly. I’m also a big reader and enjoy running.
