I used to teach my juniors in university and have continued to do that after I have graduated. I love biology, especially genetics; an interest which I have pursued by completing an MSc in Molecular Medicine in Sudan. During my Molecular Medicine degree, I developed an interest in cancer, so I applied for- and got accepted into an MSc in Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow. I have won a few awards so far, one of which is ‘Best Research Paper’ award, which was in recognition of my outstanding achievement and command of research by the end of my MSc in Molecular Medicine. I have been awarded a few grants and scholarships and have met former president Barak Obama as part of the programme I had on one of the leadership courses I undertook in the US. Currently, I research the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of colorectal cancer which will greatly impact the quality of care that patients receive. My hobbies are archery and programming using Python, in addition to graphic design, web design and web development.

My aspiration to become a teacher arises from a deep commitment to helping others realise their potential through learning.
