Hi! I’m Saarah, a Psychology student at the University of Leicester with a strong passion for understanding how the mind and body work together. What makes me stand out is my unique combination of interests in psychology, maths, and biology. While psychology helps me explore behaviour and mental processes, biology deepens my understanding of the brain, nervous system, and the science behind how we function. Maths, on the other hand, sharpens my analytical skills and helps me approach problems logically. I love how these subjects connect—biology gives me a solid scientific foundation, psychology brings in the human experience, and maths provides the tools to analyse and interpret data. This blend allows me to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way. I’m patient, friendly, and always aim to adapt to your learning style. Whether you're struggling to grasp a biology topic or aim to improve your maths skills, I’m here to support you. My goal is to build your confidence and help you enjoy learning, not just get through it. With the right support, I believe every student can thrive—and I’m excited to be part of that journey with you. I completed my GCSEs at Rushey Mead Secondary and A-levels at Beauchamp City Sixth Form with a strong academic record, focusing on subjects such as Psychology, Biology, and Maths—areas that reflect my interest in both the sciences and analytical thinking. These subjects helped me build a solid foundation for my current studies. I’m now pursuing a Psychology degree at the University of Leicester, where I’m deepening my understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, and mental health. My degree also includes research and statistical analysis, which ties in well with my appreciation for maths. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a PhD in Psychology to further specialise and contribute to the field through research and practice. My academic journey has not only strengthened my subject knowledge but also taught me discipline, effective study strategies, and the importance of curiosity in learning. I’m passionate about helping students develop the same confidence in their subjects that I’ve worked hard to build myself.

Hello, my name is George Barnes! I am a highly motivated and dedicated teacher of Science, committed to helping students unlock their full potential. I am a qualified and experienced science teacher specialising in Biology, with a proven record of delivering results at KS3, GCSE and A-level. My motivation to pursue a career in education began in 2016 when I volunteered for two months in Accra, Ghana, teaching English and introducing organised sports in a secondary school. This experience reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education and ultimately inspired me to become a qualified teacher. Following this, throughout my time as a Student at the University of Bristol, I worked as a member of the university student inclusion team as a Peer Assisted Study Leader; this role involved supporting classes of 20 first year students at the University and helping them to learn more effectively through planned activities and discussions, ultimately helping them to feel more prepared for their upcoming examinations. My passion for Biology and conservation studies has heightened my awareness of the crucial need to protect our environment. Whilst at University, this conviction prompted me to extend my exploration beyond the classroom curriculum and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer for one month at a Sea Turtle Conservation centre in Sri Lanka. This experience not only allowed me to immerse myself in a different culture but also enabled me to share my growing knowledge of conservation with local communities and work along side and learn from local experts. Additionally, my dedication to Biology led me to participate in a research project in the rain forests of Costa Rica, conducted in collaboration with the University of Bristol. This trip provided me the opportunity to design and defend a research project and contribute to ongoing research at the University. Again, here I was fortunate to see first hand the impacts of a changing world on the environment in this part of the world and learn from other leading Scientists. After graduating from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Biological Sciences, I then began working towards achieving qualified teacher status and working as a teacher of Science at a secondary school in 2020. I achieved my Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Buckinghamshire and I am experienced in teaching pupils of all ages from Year 7 through to Year 13. In 2024, I left my teaching post in order to relocate to support my partners work goals. In doing so, I have also changed my full time profession and I now have experience as a production manager and head of production in the events industry, managing international event logistics and leading team operations. However, I am still deeply passionate about science and teaching; I find helping students achieve their goals to be immensely rewarding. As a secondary school pupil myself I achieved excellent results, obtaining 12 GCSES all graded A or A*, including Maths & English, with A*'s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At A-level I then went on to study Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Religious Education and also achieved an AS level qualification in Critical thinking. Following this, I attended the University of Bristol, a Russel Group university which is renowned for its world-leading research and academic excellence. Here, I achieved my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. Following this, I began working towards achieving qualified teacher status and took my first post as a teacher of Science at a secondary school in 2020. I attended the university of Buckingham and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Science in order to become a qualified teacher. Through my university studies, I have not only gained expert science subject knowledge but I also have an excellent understanding of the latest teaching methods to help facilitate learning and, ultimately, help pupils achieve their goals. Further to this I also have other experience in coaching and mentoring roles. In 2016, I volunteered for 6 weeks in a primary school in Accra, Ghana. My primary role was teaching English to students, but given that I have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and level 1 qualified rugby coach, I also helped to introduce organised sport in the school and also coached local men's rugby team, the Dansoman Hurricanes.

Hi everyone! My name is Connor, I am a PhD candidate in Cardiovascular Disease, Licentiate of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and the student representative for the Faculty of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience (PPN) at the University of Bristol. In my spare time, I am often walking my two dogs and cat (yes, you did read that correctly), tending to our small, modest garden or brushing up on my paintwork. My tutoring methods are highly individualistic and learner-centred: it is all about you and your aspirations, as it rightfully should be. By incorporating a holistic approach, we will work together on building your confidence, learning how to effectively manage stress and how to tackle difficult exams questions, regardless of the topic. As a previously undiagnosed and unsupported learner with ADHD, growing up in an isolated community and later, becoming a full-time carer, I frequently heard that "further study isn’t for people like me". After achieving First-grade classifications in my BSc in Biomedical Science, MSc in Pharmacology & Drug Development and the IBMS President's Prize for outstanding achievements, I beg to differ. I am now confident that no tutee should ever feel as if further study "isn't for people like them". I can personally testify that learning does not have to be a painful, slow and frustrating experience it is frequently portrayed as. Let me help you achieve your goals, “re-learn how to learn” and discover your scientific passion through reliable, engaging and tailored tuition.

Very friendly and professional company, with very helpful, supportive and friendly staff. The support care line on WhatsApp is great, they look into things quickly and bend over backwards to be accommodating and help in any way they can. My little girl tried one tutor at the start, who she loved but when his schedule needed to change we were anxious about getting another. However her new tutor is also amazing and knows how to speak to her to get her to work and work well. Her confidence is growing and she likes learning and doing activities for school now. I would highly recommend this company and these tutors to anyone. If someone over zoom, can get a 7 year old to pay attention and learn, plus enjoy it, then I can only praise them and admire their skill!

At first, I did not look positively because my son is 7 years old and the lessons are online. but I am grateful to them because of our teacher. He teaches at the computer, sometimes by playing games and sometimes by dancing. His English has improved in a short time but most importantly, he likes the lesson. When I say you have an English lesson, he gets happy as if I said we will play a game. I am very, very glad that we are a member here.
