My name is Evie and I am from the United Kingdom. I grew up on a family farm in South Devon and at the age of 16 I studied the International Baccalaureate before attending university. At 19, I attended the University of Bristol where I achieved a BSc in Geology because I have a passion for the environmental sciences. Since then, I have pursued an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham, completed a Ski season in the french alps and I lived abroad in Taiwan teaching science for 1 year.

I am a friendly, patient and determined tutor. I recently finished my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I believe that this experience puts me in a great position to share my knowledge to help other students because I know what is needed in order to excel in these subjects. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage.
