Hello! My name is Abz. I provide 1:1 GCSE and KS3 Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics tuition across all major exam boards including AQA, OCR and Edexcel (to name a few). With over five years of tutoring experience and having achieved A* in A level Biology, Maths and Chemistry, I help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding and achieve their academic goals through personalised and structured lessons. A key focus of my lessons is exam preparation and technique. My students regularly practice past paper questions with guided, step-by-step support to improve their ability to apply knowledge and recognise question patterns to approach exams with confidence. Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications. Even if my availability doesn't suit you, please message me and we may be able to come to an alternative time slot. Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999). I have then taught in 4 schools over my career as a teacher of science, where I also had additional responsibilities such as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the 6th form.

Hi! My name is Ghaniyat, and I’m a medical student with a strong passion for teaching. I tutor Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology, and History, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I have experience teaching GCSE students, as well as tutoring my peers and younger medical students. Since these subjects were essential for getting into medical school, I have a deep understanding of them and can break down complex topics in a clear and engaging way. I tailor my teaching to suit each student’s learning style, making lessons interactive and effective. Beyond academics, I enjoy reading, science, cooking, traveling, and watching movies—especially psychological thrillers! I believe that a patient and understanding teacher can make all the difference, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to succeed. I look forward to helping you reach your full potential! I completed my GCSEs at La Retraite Girls’ School, achieving qualifications in 10 subjects, including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Sciences, and Spanish. My strong academic foundation allowed me to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I now apply in both my studies and teaching. For my A-Levels, I studied History, Chemistry, and Biology, along with AS-Level Mathematics. These subjects provided me with a deep understanding of both the sciences and humanities, allowing me to approach learning with a well-rounded perspective. In addition to my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which helped refine my research and analytical skills, and an ASDAN qualification, which further developed my independent learning abilities. Currently, I am a medical student at Plovdiv Medical University, where I am pursuing my passion for medicine with a keen interest in Surgery and Clinical Research. My studies require a strong grasp of scientific concepts, problem-solving, and communication, all of which I bring into my teaching. Having successfully navigated the rigorous process of getting into medical school, I understand what it takes to excel in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and I enjoy helping students master these subjects with confidence. Through my experience tutoring GCSE students, my peers, and younger medical students, I have developed the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. I tailor my teaching approach to suit each student’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and motivated in their learning journey.

Hi there! My name is Eve and I am currently a university student who loves learning, meeting new people and helping others. I’d describe myself as a fun and friendly person who’s always ready to laugh and I am here to make studying feel more enjoyable. I know that learning can feel intimidating or challenging, but I believe it’s all about finding the approach that works best for you. I’ve always been passionate about sport and the outdoors. Whether it’s playing football, skiing or going for a walk in nature, being active helps me stay positive, focused and motivated. I try to bring that same energy into tutoring — encouraging students to stay determined, celebrate progress, and see that every small step counts. When I’m not tutoring or being active, I love to listen to music, watching a good series and spending time with friends. I’m a big believer in work-life balance — working hard but also prioritising enjoying life and rest. As a tutor, I aim to create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and learn at their own pace. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my sessions to suit each student’s needs. Most importantly, I want my students to enjoy the process and feel proud of their progress. I’m looking forward to meeting new students, getting to know them and their individual journeys and I’m excited to work together to build their confidence and reach their end goals. I have always been passionate about learning and challenging myself academically. I have a strong academic background, having achieved 11 GCSEs and three A-levels in Biology, Geography, and Physical Education. These subjects allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how the human body functions, how we interact with the environment and the importance of health and well being — areas that continue to inspire me in day-to-day life. My A-levels built a strong foundation in scientific thinking, analysis and problem-solving, all of which I continue to apply in my current studies. I am now studying Sport Rehabilitation at university, a course that combines my love for sport, science and helping others. It has given me valuable insights into human anatomy, injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques, as well as how physical activity supports both physical and mental health. Through my degree, I’ve learned not only the theory behind human biology and movement but also how to apply this knowledge in practical, real-world situations. My academic journey has taught me the importance of perseverance, curiosity, and maintaining a positive attitude toward learning. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far and I am excited to keep building on my knowledge. As a student and tutor, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others, helping them understand complex topics in a clear and engaging way, and showing that learning can be both enjoyable and rewarding.
