**SSH** Hi, I am Mandini. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and out of that, Mathematics is a subject that has a lot to teach and learn. I believe that there is a champ at math in every child and I would call myself a person who works very hard to bring up that champ in all my students. I have had the opportunity to tutor many young schoolers who found it difficult to grasp the subject but with my unique teaching techniques and robust lesson plans, I have successfully been able to show my students the right path to achieve a top grade in math. I am a highly organized and flexible tutor and I would confidently say that I have in-depth knowledge of the subject matter I teach. I am eagerly looking forward to meeting new students who want to explore the subject of mathematics and do great things in the future. Subject matter taught:- Mathematics: primary and secondary classes up to GCSE level. Undergraduate at University of Plymouth - BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance Passed Advanced Level Examination -physical science stream 9 A (out of 9 subjects) passes for GCE Ordinary Level Examination. Mathematics subject prize winner for years 2015, 2016 - Alethea International School. Cambridge ESOL Examinations -Fully Completed upto First Certificate in English (level B2)

About me I love to travel, explore new places and meet people from different cultures. I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. Last, but not least, I enjoy all forms of sugar - especially cake! Aside from my degree, I am qualified to teach TEFL. I really enjoy working with those who don't have English as a first language. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. Furthermore, I am qualified to do proofreading. This fits in well with teaching English. I also have a certificate in Counselling Skills.

I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

I love languages! I am able to teach french and spanish in lower level, GCSE and A-level! I have been tutor for the last 4 years to people that range from 15 to 60 years old. Although I prefer working with adult students, I am also open to working with teenagers! I am experienced in the british exam system. I have been a tutor with GS for more than a year now! :) Being from Colombia, spanish is my native language. However, I speak english and french fluently and I study other languages such as German, Italian and Portuguese. As I have more experence tutoring French, I prefer students that are interested in this language. The thing I love the most about languages is how it broadens your way of thinking to unimagined borders. It's really amazing to understand people from different backgrounds and to see the world from other points of view. Besides languages, I also love creating digital art and dancing. Finally, I am an engineer and I am currently pursuing a master's in 3D technologies, I work and develop in VR! So I'm very interested in the new VR courses that GS is offering. Electrical engineering and I am currently pursuing a master's in 3D technologies such as VR. I studied french in the Alliance Française for almost 2 years before going in exchange to France. I've been living, studying and working in France for more than 1 year now!

Positive and enthusiastic by nature, I approach life with optimism. Therefore, seeing students develop and grow as individuals gives me great satisfaction. I consider myself a successful mentor if I can positively influence their future. In addition to my ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, my ability to plan and organise effectively is essential for being a competent mentor. I cope very well with pressure and can adapt various style of teaching methods when needed to deliver consistent results. Aside from academics, I am passionate about team building sports such as cricket and logical games such as chess. I think our hobbies influence our characteristics and shape us to be the best version of ourselves. My son's experience with Yi-Ju is excellent. Yi-Ju understands his needs, gaps, preferences and strenghts. She challenges him at a comfortable level. Doing French lessons, for us as parents was important to consolidate French learning between the sessions as well. Yi-Ju has her own toolbox with plenty of resources and extra worksheets or games. It does not seem as homework at all and my son enjoys it. In a short time David went from.level 1 books to level 3. He moved at school from core French to French Immersion. We recommend Yi-Ju to other parents. Also, the GoStudent coordinator is very supportive and asked us for feedback or opened the door for addressing any issues. IT team is willing to help as well and prompt at your needs.

My daughter was struggling with JC higher level maths. Elise Dawson has been supporting her for the past few weeks with one session weekly. This has made a huge difference to my daughter's understanding of the subject matter and has boosted her confidence massively.
