Although unforeseen personal circumstances prevented me from finishing my PGCE, I remained dedicated to helping students. I continued tutoring through the National Tutoring Programme and the local authority, working with students who couldn't attend mainstream school due to various needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). This rewarding experience led me to a short teaching contract at a special educational provision. There, I taught small groups of students with similar backgrounds. It was in this role that I truly discovered my most effective teaching style: a personalised, one-on-one approach. This method allows me to focus on each student's unique needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
