Hi! I'm Tom, 22 years old, and currently a student at the university of Birmingham studying chemical engineering at a masters level. I'm very enthusiastic about anything maths and science, bringing practical engineering application to life. I live in the heart of north wales, love to swim and play football. I attended the Kings school Chester for both secondary school and sixth form. I obtained seven grade 9's, two grade 8's and an A* in further maths (10 A*s in old money). At sixth form, I obtained an A* in maths and chemistry, and an A in physics at A level. I then went on to study chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, averaging a first-class honours degree in my first three years. I am now currently going into my final year to obtain an integrated masters degree.

These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics.
