I studied History, English Lit and Religious Studies at A-Level so I understand the stresses that come with essay-based subjects! Hi! I'm Eve. Levels & Subjects I teach: The subjects I can tutor are English Literature and English Language at a lower and GSCE level, and also History at lower, GSCE, and A-Level. Exam Board experience: Although I have personally sat my exams with the AQA exam board (meaning I have the most experience with their particular content), I am adaptable and can tutor for any exam board necessary! Languages: I am fluent in English. SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience: I have yet to gain experience with SEND. About me: I am a third year History and Philosophy student, who has always loved English, history, and the arts. My degree has made it possible for me to learn more in-depth about my favourite areas of history - particularly the cold war and feminist history - and to continue my passion for English by taking minor classes in Classics. In my GSCES, I received a 7 in both English Lit and English Language, and an 8 in History. At A-Level, I received an A in History. Some of my favourite past-times are reading (both novels and poetry), listening to music, and designing and sewing clothes. My current favourite read is The Odyssey by Homer, and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde - both of which I highly recommend. GCSE: English Literature and Language A Level: English Literature and Language Experience with: Welsh and English schooling system Preferred student age group: Primary level Ever since my parents introduced me to the world of Roald Dahl and Beatrix Potter, my love for English language and literature has exponentially increased. Before moving to London for university, I lived on a farm in Wales with my family - and many cats! Due to babysitting my two younger cousins for the last five years, I have realised that I love to work with children. I am in awe of their ability to view the world from a perspective so different from the regular adult we encounter every day. My favourite book of all time is 'Silence of the Girls' by Pat Barker. This novel is an essential read, not only for women, but also the male population. It illustrates how the current state of affairs within the international sphere replicates modern day phenomena, with violence against women repeatedly being used as a weapon of war. Thus, my interest in gender-based scholarly studies and the international feminist movement is continually growing. Whilst I love to read in my spare time, I also enjoy singing and meeting new people. However, when I am not singing or socialising, I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton with my older brother. Not only this, but I love fashion and keeping up with the latest trends. Whilst I enjoy keeping active, as illustrated by my part-time lifeguarding job throughout secondary school, seeking the greatest bargains in charity shops is something I could not live without. I am easily distracted by stories, both fictional and non-fictional, and I hope I can bring a fresh and compelling perspective to GoStudent! After achieving six A*s, one A and one B in my GCSEs, I was very intrigued to discover how A Level education could continue to challenge me. After receiving three As and an A* in my A Levels (the A* being in English literature and language), I decided to go to the London School of Economics and Political Science to study Politics and International Relations. Despite not studying English in university, I have found that the endless essays I was required to produce have undoubtedly contributed to the continuous improvement of my English skills, and my love for English in general. I have completed my first year in university and look forward to returning to see what second year has to offer! Despite currently being in higher education, I am certainly very excited by the prospect of teaching younger children and helping them to discover how English can be fun! Of course, education is about learning and discovering our strengths, and how we can improve in other weaker areas to enable us to be the best possible version of ourselves! However, if we are not enjoying ourselves when learning, this obviously makes education seem less inviting! Hi! I am currently a second-year student at Leeds University studying Zoology. I have a passion for biology but, more specifically, animal biology. I hope to eventually pursue a career in conservation or the study of animal behaviour. My first year at university was almost completely virtual. I, therefore, have first-hand experience with online learning and I can appreciate that it may be more difficult to engage with learning over a computer. My year has taught me many valuable things but something I have certainly picked up is what works online; I am eager to make these lessons engaging and interesting. At primary school level, I am able to teach in any subject, I also have experience with the 11+, having passed and attended a Grammar School. I am looking to teach mostly English Literature and Biology. Despite this, having achieved an A* grade in Chemistry, Physics, French, Spanish, ICT and Maths, as well as English Language and Biology, and an A grade in English Literature and Geography in my GCSEs, I am comfortable in all of these subjects. Having also obtained an A grade at A-level Biology, I am extremely excited about having the opportunity to teach this subject, I hope to be able to share my passion and show just why biology is so great! My interests aren't refined to biology, however; reading has always been an integral part of my life and this is reflected in my love for the study of English as a whole. The book “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini was introduced to me when studying A-level English Literature and has remained to be my favourite novel. I would be very happy to teach both Biology and English Literature to an A-level standard. Outside of academia, I enjoy art. I have recently begun to commission canvas oil paintings and I am also a member of art society at university where we regularly attend art workshops such as life drawing. I also took a year out before joining university in which I was lucky enough to work a ski season in La Plagne, France. Here I worked as a chalet host for three months which was an amazing experience.

Hi I am Rhiannon and I live in sunny Glasgow but originate from Cambridge. I studied Criminology and Criminal Justice at University and I am soon to undertake a Masters in International Relations which I am incredibly excited about. I have worked in youth services and children’s homes and throughly enjoy helping people with the most valuable tool in our world, education.
