Hello everyone. My name is Shane and I come from Ireland. I am a qualified English language teacher and history tutor. I have been teaching for over 5 years and ever since I have thoroughly enjoyed it. What I enjoy most about being a tutor is that I get to meet people from around the world. This is very important to me as I am a travel enthusiast and I really love diving into the culture and traditions of different countries. I have been teaching English online for over three-years now. This has included English as a foreign language and GCSE/ A level English literature and language. I graduated last year with a first-class degree in English literature and Language in Cardiff University and received a scholarship in my second year for being the best performing pupil in my cohort. English teaching has long been a passion of mine and my role has evolved to encompass academic writing support, something that I feel should be taught in school and is sought after by examiners across all exam boards. Having grown up in Spain for half of my life (15 years) I have always had a passion for languages and travel. I speak English and Spanish bi-lingually and so decided to undergo a career change from sales and marketing to a career in teaching languages as I believe they are so important.
