Hello! I’m Teacher Kolleen, a passionate and dedicated educator with seven years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects—Math, English, and Science for primary and lower secondary students, as well as Music, Arts, and Computer Technology at the upper secondary level. My greatest motivation comes from witnessing those “Aha!” moments when students finally grasp challenging concepts. For example, when teaching Linear Functions—a topic students often find abstract—I relate it to everyday experiences, such as calculating a taxi fare. This helps them understand slope and y-intercept intuitively before translating them into equations, tables, and graphs. By combining hands-on examples, visuals, and guided practice, I help students gain confidence and clarity. Outside the classroom, I nurture my creativity through music and art—I love singing, painting, and playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in General Education. During my undergraduate years, I was an Academic Excellence Awardee, a Dean’s Lister, and a scholar under the Tulong Pang-Edukasyon para sa Bulakenyo program. I also served as Treasurer of the COEd-Generalist Society and worked as a student assistant at the College of Science and Mathematics. To further enhance my leadership and management skills, I am currently completing my thesis for the Master of Arts in Educational Management at Bulacan State University Graduate School, having already finished 39 academic units. I also continue to expand my knowledge through online learning. At the University of the Philippines Open University, I completed micro courses in Graphic Design and Typography, Business Analytics, and Technology for Teaching and Learning. In addition, I trained with Canva Design School, taking up programs such as AI in the Classroom, Graphic Design Essentials, and Teaching Essentials. Over the years, I’ve also developed strong skills in online teaching, Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Adobe Suites, and Canva Professional. As a Licensed Professional Teacher, I believe that continuous learning and innovation are key to empowering today’s learners and preparing them for the future.

Hi!! My name is Eimear, I’m a 20 year old girl currently in my final year studying a BA in Philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Leeds. I’ve always been a curious individual, who enjoys studying and sharing knowledge with others. During my time at sixth form, I helped a maths GCSE class in preparation for their exams. I really enjoyed this experience and it has urged me to continue to continue with tutoring. I would love to help more people to excel in education and be really proud of their achievements - no matter how big or small! I went to St Nicholas Catholic High School where I got 10 GCSEs grade 9-7 and I stayed on at Sixth Form where I achieved A*,A,A in English Literature, Maths and Religious Studies ALevels. Alongside my ALevels, I also completed an Extended Project Qualification that was awarded an A* as well. I now study a BA in PPE at University of Leeds, where I am aiming to achieve a first class. When I was in sixth form, I helped a GCSE maths class in preparation for their exams, where I conducted 1-1 sessions with various students to go over past papers and establish areas of concern. Beyond that, my degree has allowed me to continue to develop both my numerical skills as well as my written skills, so I think I have a good basis for helping students with both English and Maths (my two favourite subjects). I have work experience as a waitress and cleaner, which have helped me to communicate clearer and work well with a team. Additionally, I am Secretary of Leeds University PPE society, a task which has really developed my team building skills, my ability to organise my time and respond accordingly to comments.

I am looking to teach Biology and English, especially to KS3 and GCSE students. In my day to day life, I enjoy helping my colleagues with any problems they might have, and I have also taught my younger sister, helping her with her own work in school. In terms of my own interests and hobbies, I am very creative. I enjoy painting and drawing, I am self-taught in guitar, and I recently have been submitting my writing to be published in online literary magazines. I am also interested in literature and Formula 1. I am fluent in Romanian, and have a basic level of Spanish fluency. I am currently studying Law at the University of Warwick. Prior to that, I did my A-Levels at Pate's Grammar School, achieving A's in English Literature, Politics and Biology. I had a part-time job at Frank Smith & Co solicitors for 9 months, and before that I also worked as a tutor assistant, helping teach for the 11+ examination.

I'm currently a veterinary medicine student at university, slated to graduate in 2030. I have two younger brothers and have always been one of those strange children who enjoyed going to school for the learning, not just the fun. Outside of education I am a knitter, a crocheter, a badminton player, and an avid creative writer. I was involved in Scouts for two years and was part of the National Honour Society in high school, a society for students in American high schools that select members based on four pillars: academics, character, service, and leadership. I enjoy explaining things and hope to ensure that my students gain a greater appreciation of the subject matter, but I will settle for getting them through their exams if that's all they want. I attended CAJ, an international high school in Japan that following the American curriculum. I took 10 AP subjects, which are slightly narrower in scope but no less thorough in depth than A levels, and scored 5s (highest score) in all but English language, where I scored a 3 (pass mark). The AP subjects I took were Japanese, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics 2, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and English Literature and Composition.

Hello, I'm Madeleine! I did my GCSEs and A-levels in London, and I am currently studying Anthropology and English at Queen's University Belfast. I tutor for English Literature and Language at GCSE and English Literature at A-level. As a tutor, I enjoy raising students' confidence in their ability to revise and to show their best work in exams. I did my GCSEs and A-levels at St Claudine's Catholic School for Girls in London. I got nine GCSEs (6-9), including English Literature (9) and Language (9), Geography (9), Religious Studies (9), and Mathematics (8). At A-level, I studied English Literature (A*), Religious Studies (A), and Geography (B). During Sixth form, I started tutoring friends and family in GSCE English. I took a gap year to work, continued tutoring, and I am currently in my first year at Queen's University Belfast studying Anthropology and English. I am 21 years old and I am currently studying English Literature at Durham University. I absolutely love to travel and I am a qualified ski instructor and have done two seasons teaching in Canada and New Zealand.
