My name is Ash and I love tutoring students and showing them ways through which they can not only become a confident learner, but also a confident person overall. I believe that learning should not always be serious and so I tend to make learning interesting for my students at all times. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. My teacher made English enjoyable and allowed me to have creative responsibilities, making me want to pass that on to the next generation. Apart from my educational background, I enjoy art, allowing me to be more creative and express myself in a different light. But apart from my academics, Im very creative and enjoy doing lots of artistic hobbies such as painting and drawing. My most remarkable talent is drawing landscapes. I also am a big movie buff so hopefully, I can if I have that in common with a student I use that to tailor lessons for them. Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out! Other hobbies of mine include: reading and travelling. I hope on gostudent i can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise. More importantly i want to help build up your confidence; often you know a-lot more than you think you do. But, if not, i can support you to getting to a place of assurance in your desired subject- we will work together to get you to a level you want to be. As a tutor i want to scrub up and polish the foundations you already have- which i am confident will bring closer to your target grade! I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!

Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 22 years. I live in the middle of France, close to a small spa town and am surrounded by fields, farms and hills. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also teach and tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. I am here to help students achieve their goals and become successful members of their community. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, cycling and drinking coffee with friends. I have 1 cat, 28 chickens and have been married for 11 years. As well as my degree in History and English and Literary Studies and my PGCE History, I have a TESOL certificate. I spent a month in Prague getting my TESOL and then taught ESL in Vietnam for 2 years. Outside of classroom education, I have my Lowland Leader award and spent 4 years running the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school.

I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of Nottingham and hold a First Class Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. I have been tutoring since my early high school years in a range of subjects and for a range of different academic abilities. My education ethos is to foster an enjoyment of understanding and success will follow. In terms of hobbies I'm a massive movie fan – that's basically how I spend 90% of my free time. I also really enjoy taking photos when I can and it doesn't take much for me to get stuck into a good book. I am in my penultimate year of Medical School at the University of Nottingham and hold a First Class Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. In high school I took physics, chemistry, mathematics, history, biology, English and AP mathematics. I tutored peers and younger grades throughout high school in all these subjects. I achieved distinctions in all core subjects. I also have a B1 Certification in German, which I studied at the Goëthe Institut.
