Hello! I am an English Literature with Creative Writing university student and I am passionate about Literature, History and other creative subjects. I am also passionate about guiding students academically. My favourite literature genre includes classical works and compiled essays!

I try to adapt my classes to the students' level and requirements. I can focus on reading and writing for example. I have taught hundreds of students from around the world and really enjoy learning about their different cultures. I can also teach Social Sciences, and Spanish. I have a degree in International Development and have also lived in Costa Rica for over 15 years and speak confidently in spanish. My main motivation as a teacher is for a student to reach their best potential in their chosen subject. I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am now studying Law in university, which has been a passion of mine for many years. I have dual nationality with both USA and UK passports thanks to my English mother. When I was much younger I gained 5 "O" levels and 1 "A" level while living in Taunton, England. I served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. I have a 4-year university degree from San Diego, California. In 2004 I gained a TESOL certificate at Transworld Schools in San Francisco, California. I have over 12 years of cumulative teaching experience in Thailand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and China. I think that teaching English has benefitted me the most in the world around us. When I was in Kuwait I wrote and self-published a children's book entitled Korean Odyssey. I now live in Wiveliscombe, Somerset England awaiting a return to Thailand where my Thai wife is.

I love to meet other people and learn from their cultures...the world is a wonderful and diverse place and each of us have a purpose...I feel passionate about empowering people to reach their goals. Learning English is a wonderful communicative bridge. My teaching focus is adult learning with a range of CEFR level English A2 - C2. I especially encourage conversational English, focusing on the learner's environment (occupation, hobbies etc.) I have a Law degree, a Master's degree in Development and Management as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration. I am also a certified Life Coach and have been teaching at a tertiary institution for a number of years after practicing as an attorney. I have a Level 5 TEFL diploma and enjoy every moment of teaching English.

I am Faruq Ishola, a 30 year old Nigerian currently studying and living in Northampton, Northamptonshire, UK. I am Male and practise Islamic religion, hence the origin of my first name. I had my primary school education in St. Mary's private school, Lagos, Nigeria. I also had my secondary education in Nigeria. At University level, I majored in BSc. Medicine in Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Lviv, Ukraine. I am currently studying Masters in Public Health in the University of Northampton. I had always dreamed of becoming a doctor as a child but had difficulties in transitioning to the Science classes in my secondary education. My parent employed a tutor that entirely changed my course, this is why I remain passionate about how important the role of a tutor can be.

I am enthusiastic, positive and patient. I have a love for English Literature, and all the joys of reading, creativity and story telling which comes with it. Currently, I am immersed in my course at The University of Edinburgh, as I go into my third year. I have previously studied History of Art, History, Art and Theatre studies - which all allow for a different perspective on the world of Literature. I have excellent IGCSE results (9 A*s and 1 A), and A level results (A*,A*,B), with an Academic scholarship and Art scholarship. Having taught such a range of year groups, I have a lot of experience in adapting my teaching style, including the use of a variety of exercises and resources to engage my students.

Kia ora hey! My name is Haylie and I am a middle distance runner, master's student, actress and student support worker. I am studying an MSc in International Development part-time here at the University of Edinburgh while training and competing, as well as picking up casual hours teaching and supporting students. Moving to Edinburgh has been great fun, but I grew up in LA as a Kiwi-American. I lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for most of my adult life, where I also completed my bachelor's in Education with minors in Politics and TESOL. I absolutely love all things travel and adventure related, and I'm always keen for a chat about world politics, language, culture, running, football, travel, acting, and learning something new!

Hi! I am a recent Law and Politics graduate from Queen Mary University of London. I grew up in Pakistan but then moved to London for my studies. I am passionate about any subject that allows critical thinking. I enjoyed public speaking while at school and university as it allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge and be analytical. I am also an avid reader, anything from true-crime novels, historical fiction to drama and poetry. I love dogs and have the cutest cocker spaniel named Chloe.
