Hi! I’m Karen, a passionate and experienced Maths and Science tutor with over four years of teaching experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Industrial Chemistry and Petrochemistry. I achieved A/A grades* in GCSE Mathematics and Physics and an A in A-Level Maths. My strong academic background allows me to explain complex topics clearly and confidently turning challenges into achievable goals for my students! I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and French. Having grown up with my mother, a French teacher, and spent several years in France during my engineering projects, I’ve spoken French from an early age and now hold a C1 level, making it one of my favorite subjects to teach! Over the years, I’ve developed personalized teaching strategies to help every student succeed, whether they’re aiming for top grades or simply need a confidence boost. My lessons are engaging, structured, and adapted to each learner’s pace and goals. Teaching isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my students gain confidence, improve their results, and enjoy learning along the way! I have a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, where I specialized in Industrial Chemistry and Petrochemistry. I currently work remotely as a process engineer, focusing on thermodynamic modelling. This flexible setup allows me to dedicate plenty of time to my tutoring lessons. I love using my engineering background to help students really understand and enjoy these subjects!

To Administrators : my schedule is not open to trial lessons, only regular students. Any booking of a trial in my schedule would be considered as a mistake from the administrator. This message has been precised here by advice from the administration itself to avoid any mistake about this subject. To regular students : Hello ! I'm Valentin and I'm an enthusiastic french tutor. Willing to learn French and discover all its secrets ? Here I am ! I offer and adapt my lessons to be suitable for all ages. Whether it's simple conversation, grammar exercises, comprehension, writing, reading or pronunciation. I will work with you to improve your French the best way possible. I can also help with homework or GCSE preparation ! However, you will see that studying with me is not like school. I don't do notation system. What's important for me is to relax the student so that he wants to try to express without being afraid of making a mistake. And even if he does, I could take time to correct him and see together how to improve himself. Mistakes are part of the process of learning. About myself ! I'm mostly a travel-addict and I tell my stories by making cartoons. I've been teaching French to people for two years now and I really discovered the joy to share. I'm quite certain I will share my enthusiasm with you. What's primordial for me is to make people at ease and create a trustful relationship between teacher/student. Finally, sadly, even if my calendar shows any availabilities, these are only opened to students already engaged with Gostudent, also called regular students. I do not give any trial lesson. However, I definitely encourage any already subscribed student to ask me as a tutor. It would be my pleasure to meet you and see how to improve your french. I have : - a Master's degree in Film theory allowing me to teach as a Film studies teacher. - DAEFLE training to have the official FLE teacher title. (DAEFLE = Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français Langue Etrangère = Diploma of aptitude to teach French like a foreign language).

Hi! My name is Aurora and I am a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester, studying a Masters in Development Economics. I am originally from Italy, but I moved to the UK when I was 16 and sat both my GCSEs and A Levels in London. In my GCSEs I achieved 8 A* and 4 A grades. These were the second-highest results in my cohort, despite the fact I had only been living in England for two years before sitting my exams. At sixth form, I taught myself French A Level in just one year and achieved an A grade, the highest grade in my class. I have always found learning languages an extremely rewarding, albeit sometimes frustrating process. Although languages open up doors to new ways of thinking and seeing the world around you, grasping the different aspects of a language, such as its grammar, can be demoralising. And that’s what I am here for - as a fellow language learner, I can empathise with the difficulties of this process and will do my best to make it as smooth and fun as possible. Furthermore, as a foreigner who has been through the UK education system, I am able to advise those in similar positions and facing similar challenges. Students learn in different ways, so I will adapt our lessons depending on your preferred learning style. During the introductory lesson, I will ask you questions in order to determine how you study, and your responses will shape the way I plan our future sessions. I will also be interested to know the topics you are struggling the most with, in order to give me a clearer idea of the areas I should focus on. I look forward to hearing from you! All the best, Aurora Qualifications: Msc, Development Economics and Policy at the University of Manchester (September 2023 - September 2024) BA, Economics with French and German at the University of Sheffield (September 2019 - June 2023) : First Class with Distinction in Spoken German A Levels (2016 - 2018): French (A), Italian (A), Chemistry (A), Mathematics (A) GCSEs (2014 - 2016): English Language (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (A), Further Mathematics (A), Biology (A*), Mathematics (A*), French (A*), German (A*), Italian (A*), ICT (A*), Religious Studies (A*), English Literature (A*). Hello! :) My name is Cécile and I am twenty-five years of age. In 2021, I graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a Bachelors Degree in Drama. I am currently working full-time as an Insurance Consultant whilst also working part-time, supporting students on their academic journeys. This is a big highlight of my week! :) I started tutoring during my A-Levels (2016-2018), which then progressed through to University and amazingly, up until present. A section of my degree concentrated on education (to which, I received a First) thus leading me to continue with private tuition, throughout the Leicester area. I have been established on the GoStudent platform as a freelance tutor, since January 2022. In January 2024, I received my 500th lesson certificate and up until present, I have delivered over 880 lessons on this platform, alone. Collectively, I have over eight years worth of tutoring experience but on a continuous basis, I will be hitting my four year anniversary in January 2026. I teach the following subjects: Drama, English, History and French. Drama and English are both taught from, Primary through to Degree level. History is taught from GCSE through to A-Level. French is taught from Primary through to GCSE or I also teach French to individuals who are looking to learn the language, from scratch - I possess dual nationality (as you can probably tell by my name) :) I also conduct lessons providing coursework and exam help. My education journey is, as follows: In 2016, I passed and achieved thirteen GCSE's, nine of which vary from B - A* grades. In 2018, I passed and achieved three A-Levels in Drama, History and Biology. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Drama including a First Class for my 'Education and the Performing Arts' module and my final Dissertation - De Montfort University, Leicester. In 2024, I started my Cert CII and I am aiming to have my full Chartership in Insurance, by March 2026. I have a solid understanding of the performing arts education policy, pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment in a time of educational, economic, technological and social change. It also allowed me to construct innovative ways towards lesson exploration including within the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sector, early years, informal, community and therapy settings. My degree allowed me to submerse myself into various fields of education and resultantly, have the right exposure towards assisting students within the following categories: - EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage/s). - SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). - Primary Education. - Secondary Education. - Mature learning.
