I am currently studying Economics and Statistics at University College London. I tutor Maths, English, Physics (only to GCSE), Chemistry (only to GCSE) and Economics currently. I enjoy playing and coaching chess in my spare time. I enjoy teaching because I find helping others succeed extremely rewarding and satisfying, and online tutoring is the easiest way for me to do this. I have LAMDA qualifications in speech and drama as well as public speaking. Furthermore, I have qualifications in statistics as this is what I specialise in. In addition, I enjoy sports, from football to table tennis and basketball. My truest passion, however, is in teaching and I hope you see this as I endeavour to help you with your studies.

Hi! I'm Venus, a final-year medical student and part-time tutor. I have a passion for teaching and have been tutoring for over 4 years now. I try to have an open and friendly classroom where my students can learn whilst being themselves and look forward to their teaching sessions. Here are some testimonials from previous students: "I honestly couldn’t have gotten my grade 9s without Venus! She made everything so much easier to understand and was super patient when I didn’t get something right away. The sessions never felt stressful because she always created such a friendly, relaxed environment, so I didn’t feel embarrassed asking questions. They really helped boost my confidence, and I always felt like I could actually get through even the hardest topics. I’m so thankful for their support" I achieved grades 8-6 in GCSE English Literature, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology. I also achieved A*AAB at A level in Psychology, Chemistry, Biology, and Core Maths. I am familiar with AQA, and OCR exam boards in KS3 and 4.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. After being rejected from medicine, I decided to complete a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, achieving a 1st Class Honours. During my degree I realised my passion lies in medicine and decided to try one more time by changing key parts of my application. Luckily, I received offers from Oxford and Warwick for Graduate-Entry Medicine.

Hi! I’m Saarah, a Psychology student at the University of Leicester with a strong passion for understanding how the mind and body work together. What makes me stand out is my unique combination of interests in psychology, maths, and biology. While psychology helps me explore behaviour and mental processes, biology deepens my understanding of the brain, nervous system, and the science behind how we function. Maths, on the other hand, sharpens my analytical skills and helps me approach problems logically. I love how these subjects connect—biology gives me a solid scientific foundation, psychology brings in the human experience, and maths provides the tools to analyse and interpret data. This blend allows me to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way. I’m patient, friendly, and always aim to adapt to your learning style. Whether you're struggling to grasp a biology topic or aim to improve your maths skills, I’m here to support you. My goal is to build your confidence and help you enjoy learning, not just get through it. With the right support, I believe every student can thrive—and I’m excited to be part of that journey with you. I completed my GCSEs at Rushey Mead Secondary and A-levels at Beauchamp City Sixth Form with a strong academic record, focusing on subjects such as Psychology, Biology, and Maths—areas that reflect my interest in both the sciences and analytical thinking. These subjects helped me build a solid foundation for my current studies. I’m now pursuing a Psychology degree at the University of Leicester, where I’m deepening my understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, and mental health. My degree also includes research and statistical analysis, which ties in well with my appreciation for maths. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a PhD in Psychology to further specialise and contribute to the field through research and practice. My academic journey has not only strengthened my subject knowledge but also taught me discipline, effective study strategies, and the importance of curiosity in learning. I’m passionate about helping students develop the same confidence in their subjects that I’ve worked hard to build myself.

Jana has been a fabulous German tutor to our daughter. Her consistently excellent teaching over the past years has been a key contributing factor for our daughter's learning trajectory which led her in achieving a 9 in her end-of-year exams. We look forward to next years tutoring and hope that our daughter will remain in the high achieving path on her actual GCSE German exam.
