Geography Tutors Online: Ace Your Exams with Expert Geography Lessons

I am studying Biotechnology at the University of Nottingham and have been tutoring students from KS2 to A-Level for two years. I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. I did A Levels in Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), Economics (Edexcel). I am in my third year of Biotechnology BSc (Hons) and have studied a variety of modules during my studies that equiped me with relevant knowledge that will allow me to stretch my students who want to know more about science. I help my students reach their maximum potential by focusing on building the skills that they will need to succeed in exams. Exam skills are often the downfall of even very intelligent students. Exams are stressful and unnatural enviroments, but by practicing all types of questions together, my students have gone on to achieve grades that they would not have thought possible.

I’m a uni student at the university of Nottingham who loves to help others by using my own education experiences to do so. I consider myself outgoing and I love to meet and talk to new people in all contexts. I like to think that I am a confident and hard working person who is able to convey ideas across and explain things clearly. These skills and attributes, I feel make me a great fit for being a personal tutor. My hobbies include sports such as football, skiing and motorsports amongst many others, as well as travel and generally anything car related. I am currently at the university of Nottingham studying geography with business. For my A-levels I studied geography, government and politics and music. I found these subjects very helpful in gaining a broad knowledge in various disciplines. Both geography and politics are subjects which allowed me to develop points effectively and convey a compelling argument, as well as widening my scope of knowledge. I think my academical past will aid me greatly in helping others with their studies.

However, education is not whole without some fun; I have also taken part in extra curricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I am the co-founder of the charity Broaden Out Their Horizons along with Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter. Through this charity, I flew to South Africa to teach English Literature to underprivileged children at Magoba School. My teaching method: I believe in tailoring each lesson depending on the individual's needs. I am open to using different methods and have a very friendly approach in order to help students meet their learning needs! I want the students to feel comfortable and to enjoy their learning to the maximum! After Sixth Form I took a gap year in the hope of travel however COVID prevented me from doing so, so instead I worked in retail whilst reading in preparation for university. I am half Spanish and love to travel; my favourite excursions being the frequent visits to Spain to see my grandparents. My other hobbies include dancing (from the age of 4), going to the gym, crotchet and just generally spending time with my friends and family. University has provided me with a wealth of transferable skills, the most important of which is the ability to learn, teach and communicate remotely. I've discovered that there are numerous advantages to taking online classes, such as the efficiency, flexibility, and variety of lesson styles that can be used. The most important aspect of online teaching is engagement; lessons must be tailored to keep the target audience ’s attention.

Hi! My name's Nitharan but I go by Niv and I'm a graduate from Imperial College London in Medical Sciences with Management and I'm also currently a medical student. As you might be able to work out, I have a lot of passion for the sciences, especially Biology and Chemistry (I also love a bit of Maths too) and I love teaching them.
