Hi, my name is Keeley and I'm from the North East of England. I have had personal struggles with mental health conditions that have previously impacted my education as well as being autistic, therefore I am aware of the effects these things can have on people and take these into consideration with everything I do. I am a certified Rescue Diver and freediver, with over 12 years of experience diving around the world and observing marine life. I completed the 120 Hours TEFL course in 2022, and I have always had a passion for language and the written word. I have gained many experiences through my travels in communicating and mentoring people. Studying Mandarin and Hebrew has allowed me greater insights into teaching ESL. I have been an avid reader and writer throughout my life. I have experimented with language through freestyle rap performances, poetry, short stories, and science fiction. I love exploring and expressing knowledge through the written word as well as through art. I studied Hebrew in Israel and received my Bet Level Hebrew award. I found myself here during the beginning of the pandemic and as such trained working with cement interior and exterior micro-topping. In GCSE I was one of the top performers in the country, attaining the highest grade in my school for English Lang and Lit. I have taken part in art competitions and writing competitions. I find the combination of art and science incredibly versatile and interesting.

I started tutoring during my first year of university and absolutely loved it! I am a bit older now (and hopefully wiser), currently undergoing training to become a commercial pilot. I graduated from the University of Nottingham (Politics and International Relations) with First Class Honours with the Academic Excellence Award. I am currently a student at the University of Birmingham, in my final year of a Geography (BA) degree. I am also the social sec at the Radio society for my uni. At Sixthform, I completed 3 A Levels - A* Sociology, A Geography, A* Media. I really enjoyed getting stuck into work at Sixthform and developed an effective plan and timetable for revision. I will use this to base my tutoring on - practicing past questions, learning and perfecting what the marker is looking for aswell as flash cards. I chose both these courses as I like to know why the world functions as it does, and what better way to understand this than the political, economic and social geographies; as well as the business/finance world!
