I am an engineering university student with a diverse educational background from different countries. Owing to my diverse experience, I am able to teach using varied curricula, adopt different systems, and incorporate appropriate approaches to meet the needs of the students. I am still a student, so I have first-hand experience with what students require from a student's perspective. Although I have around 3 years of experience working as a part-time tutor, both online and physical,  I have been tutoring as a volunteer for about 8 years now.  I have worked with students from different parts of the world of all levels and ages. Aside from teaching as a career, I am passionate about it because I aspire that "learning should be fun." I teach because I love it, because I enjoy it, and because I want to help the student improve in the most amusing way possible. As the saying goes "if you do what you love, you will do it with passion," and I am here to help the students realize that they love learning. I began my lower-level studies in Tanzania (my home country), where I picked up the British educational system. I later received a scholarship to study abroad as an exchange student, moved to the US to complete part of my high school there, and then returned to Tanzania to finish my A-levels. At this point, starting with the modest volunteer programs I was taking part in in Tanzania, this is when I first learned about teaching. I was awarded another scholarship to Turkey to start my bachelor's in engineering. And this is when I started teaching as a part-time profession, taking it to the next level. I currently live in Lithuania as an Erasmus student and am constantly exploring new adventures and experiences as a teacher through different youth programs and volunteer camps. Likewise, I can't wait to embark on a new journey with you.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. I have been working as a Research Neuroscientist for over 10 years. I love movies, especially Marvel movies. I also enjoy swimming, cooking, travelling the world disccovering new places.
