Hello, my name is Kirsty. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Manchester studying maternal and fetal health. At secondary school I always enjoyed learning about Science and Maths, so after my GCSEs I decided to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Following this, I went to the University of Manchester to study Biomedical Sciences. Here I spent three years learning about various aspects of Biology such as Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroscience and Biochemistry. From my lectures I began to grow an interest in maternal and fetal health, which I pursued by completing my master's in reproduction and pregnancy. As well as increasing my knowledge about biology I also learnt laboratory skills and how to conduct experiments. I am now doing my PhD whilst also teaching undergraduate biology students at the university. Outside of academia I also enjoy going to dance classes, hiking and baking.

Hi everyone, I’m Barnaby. I’m currently studying for a Master of Physics at the University of Oxford, having graduated with a first-class Bachelor’s in Physics in 2025. Before university, I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, finishing top of my school in both Maths and Physics. Beyond academics, I have a wide range of interests. Most recently, I wrote and directed my own musical, which I took to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025. I also work as a group leader at High 5 Sports and Activities Holiday Camp, where I look after children aged five to fourteen. Hello! I am a Modern Languages graduate from the University of Exeter, and am available to teach both Spanish and Italian. I have a huge passion for language learning and exploring new cultures, and would love to share this with others. I have lived and worked in both Spain and Italy throughout my academic career, and am finishing my degree at C1 level.
