Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 21 years. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. I am here to help students achieve their goals and become successful members of their community. In my spare time I enjoy running and drinking coffee with friends. I have 2 cats and have been married for almost 7 years. I am currently learning French in order to pursue my dream of moving to France to start a new life on the continent. As well as my degree in History and English and Literary Studies and my PGCE History, I have a TESOL certificate. I spent a month in Prague getting my TESOL and then taught ESL in Vietnam for 2 years. Outside of classroom education, I have my Lowland Leader award and spent 4 years running the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school.

I am studying Biotechnology at the University of Nottingham and have been tutoring students from KS2 to A-Level for two years. I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. I did A Levels in Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), Economics (Edexcel). I am in my third year of Biotechnology BSc (Hons) and have studied a variety of modules during my studies that equiped me with relevant knowledge that will allow me to stretch my students who want to know more about science. I help my students reach their maximum potential by focusing on building the skills that they will need to succeed in exams. Exam skills are often the downfall of even very intelligent students. Exams are stressful and unnatural enviroments, but by practicing all types of questions together, my students have gone on to achieve grades that they would not have thought possible.

Hi I am Albert! I am currently studying for a Master degree in Health Economics at the University of York. I obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics, also from the University of York. My A-Levels were in Mathematics, History and Economics from a college in Leeds. I am excited to tutor in GCSE & A-Level Economics, helping students grasp economic concepts and master their essays needed to succeed in their AQA, OCR and Edexcel exams and beyond. My passion lies in the health sector which requires advanced knowledge of microeconomic and macroeconomic methods including, game theory, demand and producer theory, general equilibrium analysis and equity/equality principles. I am also keen to tutor GCSE & AQA A-Level History, particularly to help students wrestle with the challenges of examining events from an economic perspective. During my A-Levels I studied British Empire 1857-1967 and Germany 1918-1945, whilst during my degree I studied Economic History throughout 1500-2000. I wish to build upon my experiences of tutoring students on the University of York's Next Step Program. I am bilingual in English and Polish. My main interests are basketball where my favourite player is Luka Doncic , Formula 1 where my favourite driver is Charles Leclerc, hiking, cooking and travelling. I obtained a First-Class grade for my Bachelor of Economics degree from The University of York. My best piece of work was my dissertation on medical technology and spending growth in the United States. I proved that TPF is an accurate appropriator of technical progress and concluded that every month, more than $1,000,000,000 is spent on improving medical technology in the USA to help patients! My postgraduate research focuses on the cost-effectiveness and expected value of sampling information with regards Low-Level-Laser Therapy in the treatment of oral mucositis from Head and Neck Cancers. I completed an internship with Hammond Partners London, where I successfully found and linked up talented individuals with roles at hedge funds!

Hey !! I am a recent Law graduate interested in pursuing tutoring. Teaching ONLY history at GCSE and lower years! I can teach History at a lower and GCSE and A-Level level and Law at an A-level and undergraduate level. But currently taking on only GCSE and lower years. I have experience in tutoring kids at primary levels in subjects maths and English, which I am also interested to teach. I have had a history of tutoring kids voluntarily at local establishments and siblings for years and have mentoring experience for A-Levels history or arabic reading tutoring and mentoring. I have experience with AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I speak English, Urdu/Hindi and Pashto at a native level of fluency. I have years of informal tutoring which started from a young age during Arabic lessons to A-level mentoring. I prefer the ages from primary to GCSE. I love to watch crime and nature documentaries but I am also interested in fictional books and biographies of great leaders and prominent figures throughout world history. I love a walk through a park on a sunny day and possibly play basketball and football. For GCSE I chose to continue History due to my love for history and my interest in learning about how the events in history shaped society as we know it today. This passion and love for History was carried on for my A-Levels, where alongside this I chose politics to have a better understanding of the political world it is today and how it transformed from the past, since I had love for learning history. Moreover, my curiosity into the working world and how society works and progresses and progressed through history led me to choose sociology to understand the world better and realise the disadvantages and discrimination some sectors of society faces. Alongside my studies, I have participated in multiple social programmes that intended to make a social change such as Envision, which was a programme where I was project manager and researcher for the topic of child resilience and child abuse. which earned me and my team funds from the dragons dens (version of the programme) and placed best team work and research in the finals. Adding more to my passion for helping and spreading awareness on social issues, I wrote a 5000 word dissertation in my A-Levls about the legislative system and racial rights in the UK and how more needs to be done to minimise, at least, racial prejudice. Additional to this, I have had a keen interest in the business world and helped in marketing and project managing our goal and vision to win which lead us to the Young Enterprises semi finals. Currently, I am self teaching korean and learning more about islamic history and reading up on social movements leaders like the civil rights movement leaders like MLK and Malcolm X. Which is an extended interest from A-Levels history where I wrote a dissertation on the civil rights movement and the leadership that made a change in African American history. on my off time, I like to travel and visit the parks and enjoy reading about my current interests, like auto biographies on leaders and social events and significant historical events but also fictional books that sucks me into the world of imagination. I am a huge fan of BTS because of the poetic lyricism thats conveys messages of strength, self esteem and self love and passion for the things you love irregardless of what society has to say. Their message is applicable to all that is willing to listen and understand their message and movement. Like e one of their member said "You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice" - Suga. I am in support of their music and what they stand for and I am in support of their multiple campaigns like their "LOVE MYSELF" campaign, that stand with social change, social justice and climate changed and youth power in changing the future for the better. This all stand true with me and my beliefs and I would love to share if I can their message and help spread the positivity and self love their promote. But also would love to talk and connect with my students with similar music interests and beliefs.

I am very satisfied with the initial approach. It was prompt, accurate and helpful. I am satisfied with the pricing of the lessons and the way the payments goes through, easy and trouble free. Last but not least I am very happy with Ioanna, my teacher. She is professional, punctual, flexible, as strict as she should be, serious and yet she encourages me without giving me unrealistic hopes.

I came across go student online. I hadn't heard of it before. I spoke with Jacob and he walked me through the process. We were placed with Raksha for my daughters vitural tutoring classes. I am so happy I found go student. My daughter has extreme anxiety and very anti- social. She would NEVER go on camera before. She has built up a relationship so quickly with Raksha and she even shows her face on camera. The best part about the lessons is all the laughs I hear. To me that's a sign of comfort. I will continue my subscription with go student for a very long time. My daughter is doing absolutely amazing with it, and I wish I had of started sooner. We love Raksha so much I added more classes with her :).
