I’m a Physics MSci graduate from UCL with a strong background in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and broader sciences. I teach students from beginner to advanced levels, always adapting lessons to each learner’s pace and goals. My style is clear, supportive, and results-focused: I break down difficult topics into simple steps, build confidence, and help students improve both grades and real understanding. Whether you need help with exam prep, homework, problem-solving, or long-term academic growth, I provide structured, engaging lessons tailored to your needs. I completed an integrated Master’s degree (MSci) in Physics at University College London (UCL), where I built strong expertise across Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and data-driven problem solving. During my degree, I studied areas such as quantum mechanics, particle physics, advanced mathematical methods, computational physics, high-performance computing, and machine learning applications in science. My final-year MSci research project focused on quantum computing and AI for scientific data analysis, where I applied quantum autoencoders to anomaly detection problems inspired by high-energy physics datasets. This involved advanced Python programming, model evaluation, data analysis, and scientific reporting. In addition to university-level training, I have years of hands-on experience supporting students in Maths and Science topics, translating complex concepts into clear, structured explanations. My academic path combines rigorous theory, practical computation, and strong communication skills, which allows me to teach effectively across levels—from foundational school content to advanced pre-university material in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and related sciences.

I am an English Literature graduate from the University of Birmingham, who is currently studying a Masters degree in Philosophy. I really enjoy English and Philosophy as they can be a really fun subjects to learn as well as teach. I found that at school my teachers made the subjects enjoyable, so much so that I got a grade 9 in my English Literature GCSE and a grade 8 in English Language as well as a grade A* in my Religious Studies A-level and a 2:1 in my English Literature degree. Therefore, I aim to help students improve their grades by making learning enjoyable because when something is difficult to learn it can be difficult to want to understand and persevere. As a tutor, it is important to understand areas of struggle and help to adapt them in a way that is more accessible to the student. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: 1 Grade 9 in English Literature, 4 Grade 8’s (1 Grade 8 being in English Language), 3 Grade 7’s and 2 Grade 6’s. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A* in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, an A in English Literature and a B in German. I graduated from the University of Birmingham as an undergraduate English Literature student with a 2:1 Honours and have recently graduated with a MSc in Philosophy, Mental Health, and Psychology.

I love to travel, read, eat and try new activities! I like learning about different cultures and the history behind the cultures. I took up running during the pandemic and my aim is to one day run a half marathon and once that's achieved, run a full marathon. I love teaching and am very passionate about it. I did GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, RS, Drama, ICT, Business Studies, and got additional qualifications such as Critical Thinking AS Level when I was in secondary school. My A Levels were in English Literature and Language, Accounting and Economics. My Bachelor's degree was in Accounting and Finance and I proceeded to get a PGCE after a year of doing a Maths Enhancement Course to qualify to teach Secondary Maths.

Within my university, I serve as User Experience Officer at the Undergraduate Psychology Association, reflecting my commitment to student welfare and development. I am a native English and Swedish speaker, patient, empathetic, and dedicated to making learning accessible and enjoyable for every student. Outside of academics, I play netball, piano and love reading classic and historical fiction, which keeps me curious and engaged; qualities I bring into every tutoring session. I completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all A's and 9's, at Dulwich International School Singapore in 2022. I went on to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2024, finishing with a score of 36. Hi, I’m Jace Steele, an enthusiastic and dedicated math teacher who believes that mathematics should be understood, appreciated, and enjoyed. I’m passionate about helping students discover that math is more than just numbers and formulas. For me, it’s about logic, patterns, and real-life problem-solving. I design my lessons to be interactive and engaging, using relatable examples and practical applications so students can see how math connects to their everyday lives. My goal is not just to help them get the right answers, but to build their confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and develop a positive mindset toward learning. As a teacher, I value patience, clarity, and encouragement. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to match their pace and learning style. Whether in a classroom setting or during one-on-one sessions, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes—because that’s where real growth truly happens. Outside the classroom, I enjoy solving Rubik’s Cube puzzles and playing chess. These activities sharpen my analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills—qualities that I bring into my teaching every day. I strongly believe that with the right guidance, consistent practice, and the right mindset, every student can succeed in mathematics—and I’m here to guide them every step of the way. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education, where I built a strong foundation in mathematical theories, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques. Over the past seven years of teaching experience, I have continuously refined these skills in both classroom and online settings. This experience has strengthened my ability to simplify complex concepts, manage different learner needs, and adapt my approach to ensure that each student truly understands the material. Through years of hands-on practice, I’ve learned how to balance academic rigor with encouragement, helping students build not only competence in mathematics but also confidence in their abilities. Combining my formal education with seven years of real-world teaching experience, I am committed to delivering lessons that are clear, engaging, and impactful—empowering every student to reach their full potential in mathematics.

What is the IGCSE?
The IGCSE (which stands for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is taken by students aged 14-16 (Year 10 and 11) to prepare them for further pre-university level study, such as A-levels.
It offers the same level of education as a traditional GCSE but does not have a UK-centric curriculum. For example, Shakespeare is a compulsory part of GCSE English Literature but not the IGCSE.
Children in state schools usually take GCSEs whilst those in private and international schools are more likely to take IGCSEs. Universities do not distinguish between the two when it comes to entry requirements. The exams are assessed externally.
What is the focus of the IGCSE?
The IGCSE focuses on developing understanding, skill, and knowledge in the following areas:
Subject content
The application of knowledge and understanding to new as well as familiar situations
Intellectual enquiry
Flexibility and responsiveness to change
Working and communicating in English
Influencing outcomes
Cultural awareness
What subjects are studied?
IGCSEs are available in a broad range of subjects but curriculums vary considerably depending on the school.
Students typically take seven to nine subjects, which must include the core subjects of English, mathematics and science (biology, chemistry, physics).
Optional subjects include humanities (history, geography), modern languages, the creative arts (art, music), STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and sports.
Preparing for the IGCSEs
Historically, the GCSE had a greater amount of coursework in the syllabus compared to the IGCSE. This has changed in recent years and both qualifications are based mainly on the end-of-course exams.
The exams test theoretical knowledge, practical skills, problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills – which are essential for further education as well as future careers.
Revision is key to retaining information and reinforcing understanding and should be done regularly rather than cramming all the content at the last minute.
Practicing past papers and taking mock exams will allow you to become familiar with the exam structure, improve your time management skills and discover any areas of weakness.
How can a tutor help with preparing for the IGCSEs?
A tutor can help at any stage of the process, whether it is over the two years of study or in the run-up to the exams.
GoStudent IGCSE tutors have experience in the specific subjects covered in the curriculum as well as a proven track record of success. They offer personalised lessons that can target problematic areas and can help create realistic and achievable study schedules that balance your time across the different subjects.
ICGSE tutors can also teach you effective study techniques. These will help you not only with the exams but in your future academic career.
If you are struggling with either the coursework or exam preparation, don’t delay seeking help. Feeling prepared and confident for your exams allows you to have a clear and focused mind - and achieve to your full potential.

How can your child benefit from iGCSE tuition?

This means that your child will learn to take the initiative in their schoolwork, with the result that they will feel less overwhelmed or frustrated with school and more in control of their own learning.
