My name is Carys and I am an Economics grad from the University of Nottingham. I teach Economics at A-level and GCSE, as well as GCSE Maths. I love Economics and I am passionate about helping young people achieve in Maths as it provides important fundamentals for life and further study. I am a Economics graduate from the University of Nottingham. I achieved a first class grade of 78 in my dissertation on stock market volatility following the '24 fiscal budget announcement and obtained a 2:1 in my degree overall. Before university, I studied Economics, Maths and Geography with an Extended Project at A-level (A*A*AB). I studied Edexcel A Economics, Edexcel Geography and AQA Maths. In secondary school, I took 9 GCSE's including the core subjects as well as Geography, French, Art and Textiles.

I'm a student at the university of Bath and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love mathematics. From simple word problems to integrating complex functions, mathematics is a powerful (and beautiful) tool in understanding the world we live in. I Tutor Maths from KS3 up to University Entrance Exams. I also have experience tutoring Further Maths A Level and IB Maths.

I teach GCSE Mathematics and Sciences, as well as Year 12 A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I've had experience in teaching, where I taught a range of year groups at my local community trust, including languages, academic subjects, and religion.

I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I achieved 5 grades 9’s and 5 grade 8’s at GCSE, this includes: - A 9 in Maths and Chemistry - An 8 in Biology and Physics.
