I am a student teacher of Modern Studies (a mix of Politics, Criminology and Sociology), and have taught this at Higher level (A-levels for English schools) in school. I have also taught History and Geography, and I aim to dual-qualify as a History teacher soon. My undergraduate degree is in History and Politics at Stirling University. I have recently finished my PGDE (the additional teaching qualification - PGCE in England) at the University of Glasgow. Prior to this, I have sat the Modern Studies, History, Business studies and RMPS exams at Higher level myself in 2017. Prior to teaching, I worked for elected representatives in both the UK and Scottish Parliaments, and have also worked in Communications for different organisations. I am Faruq Ishola, a 30 year old Nigerian currently studying and living in Northampton, Northamptonshire, UK. I am Male and practise Islamic religion, hence the origin of my first name. I had my primary school education in St. Mary's private school, Lagos, Nigeria. I also had my secondary education in Nigeria. At University level, I majored in BSc. Medicine in Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Lviv, Ukraine. I am currently studying Masters in Public Health in the University of Northampton. I had always dreamed of becoming a doctor as a child but had difficulties in transitioning to the Science classes in my secondary education. My parent employed a tutor that entirely changed my course, this is why I remain passionate about how important the role of a tutor can be.

I enjoy mathematics for its logical structure and the creativity involved in solving unfamiliar problems. I have over 12 years of cumulative teaching experience in Thailand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and China. I think that teaching English has benefitted me the most in the world around us. When I was in Kuwait I wrote and self-published a children's book entitled Korean Odyssey. I now live in Wiveliscombe, Somerset England awaiting a return to Thailand where my Thai wife is.

Hi! I'm a second year undergraduate student at the University of Bath studying Economics. I'm a keen kayaker and enjoy cooking. My specialty is in Mathematics, having performed well at both GCSE and A-Levels, and have experience assisting with students, including those with poor reading comprehension. A*, A*, A, B in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology and History at A-Level. I was a part of a programme to assist the reading of children with poor developmental skills, and have taken part in my university’s peer mentor scheme, aiding new students as they begin a new chapter.
