Not only have I been given the opportunity to tutor a subject I love, I have also been given the opportunity to share my passion of English with students who want to achieve the best exam results they possibly can. English has always been a subject I have taken to naturally, achieving A* in Literature A-Level, and Level 8 and 9 at GCSE. However, I have struggled in other subjects where I found it difficult to comprehend the information taught to me. Because of this, I have patience and empathy in teaching areas you may not be 100% assured in and I am able to adapt teaching styles to ensure I deliver information effectively to give the best learning experience possible. I can plan lessons according to what you feel you need to work on, ranging from homework tasks, knowing course content or exam technique. My preferred exam board to tutor GCSE and A Level is AQA. I have experience in tutoring Edexcel English Language GCSE. Sometimes the hardest thing in exams is knowing the answers but struggling to put ideas on paper for fear of it being incorrect. I aim to inspire confidence in everyone I tutor to ensure exam questions can be tackled with assurance and not apprehension. I am not just a tutor, I am a supporter who is rooting for you all the way and I have seen the benefits of a little encouragement going a long way. I am currently a final year Law student studying at the University of Manchester. Lower Level: English GCSE: English Literature, Language A-Level: English Literature I am currently a Law student at the University of Manchester looking to maintain and share my passion of English to students who want to achieve the best grades they possibly can. My goal is to motivate students to want to learn and be enthusiastic about their studies. I therefore make it my mission to make lessons as engaging as possible with students feeling a sense of achievement once the lesson has ended in the work they have done and the ideas they have offered.

I'm Joe a, final year politics student at the Univeristy of Liverpool. During my time at university and before I've enjoyed tutoring originally only in person but for the last three years with GoStudent, aside from this, I'm currently involved with multiple societies such as the Ski, Badminton and Pool societies. Moreover, my interest in politics and social sciences is not confined to my degree, I enjoy reading on these topics outside of the University reading list, particularly history. Through this variety of interests, tutoring is something which simultaneously benefits from them and aids them by expanding my own understanding of these topics. Therefore tutoring is more akin to a hobby than a job for me due to my enjoyment of it. Throughout, my academic career I have enjoyed a wide range of subjects. originally my interests were only in history, and although this is still a favourite, my areas of knowledge have grown more varied. For instance, I'm now studying politics at university, which has been a great eye-opener. Furthermore studying politics has brought me into contact with more areas of study such as economics, media, business and geography. However, I have studied all of these to varying levels before university. My interest has led to me attaining a 2:1 grade each year of study. Moreover last year I spent a year in industry at Liverpool City Council putting the theory into practice further adding to my understanding of all the subjects mentioned above. Finally, tutoring has only added to my academic knowledge, they say the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else, and I'm certainly a believer in that.

This year, my son has to pass the first part of the French baccalaureat and has been very lucky to have Paul Bigot as a teacher to accompany him in his learning journey. He never felt that it was a burden to join the class on a weekly basis for 6 months. We have appreciated Paul's reliability and strong knowledge underpinned by an efficient methodology. Thank you very much for the help!
