Hello, my name is Kirsty. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Manchester studying maternal and fetal health. At secondary school I always enjoyed learning about Science and Maths, so after my GCSEs I decided to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Following this, I went to the University of Manchester to study Biomedical Sciences. Here I spent three years learning about various aspects of Biology such as Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroscience and Biochemistry. From my lectures I began to grow an interest in maternal and fetal health, which I pursued by completing my master's in reproduction and pregnancy. As well as increasing my knowledge about biology I also learnt laboratory skills and how to conduct experiments. I am now doing my PhD whilst also teaching undergraduate biology students at the university. Outside of academia I also enjoy going to dance classes, hiking and baking.

I am currently a first year Economics student at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed maths and while A-Level economics was a lot of fun and extremely interesting especially during the pandemic, it is taking some time to enjoy studying the discipline at a university level. When I’m not stuck studying or doing some sort of society work I love to go for a run(on the treadmill though), re read any one of Jane Austen’s book or go for long walks with a friend. I am currently studying BSc Economics at the University of Warwick after having completed my A-Levels in Maths, History, Further Maths and Economics achieving A*A*AA in those subjects respectively. While I understand all A-Level and GCSE exam boards, I have the most experience with Edexcel and AQA.

I am an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering MEng, I've tutored maths and physics for 2 years and have loved guiding and teaching my students to pass their GCSE's and A-levels As I am still in full time education and having completed my own GCSE's and A-Levels I can understand how stressful and difficult it is learning subjects in classrooms without one to one help. That's why I try cater to students needs, breaking down the subject matter into simpler explanations and then work through exam questions to show how its used in practice. I know the value of getting to understand a student and their needs, from how they learn best to how to keep them engaged in lessons. Hi! I'm Tom, 22 years old, and currently a student at the university of Birmingham studying chemical engineering at a masters level. I'm very enthusiastic about anything maths and science, bringing practical engineering application to life. I live in the heart of north wales, love to swim and play football. I attended the Kings school Chester for both secondary school and sixth form. I obtained seven grade 9's, two grade 8's and an A* in further maths (10 A*s in old money). At sixth form, I obtained an A* in maths and chemistry, and an A in physics at A level. I then went on to study chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, averaging a first-class honours degree in my first three years. I am now currently going into my final year to obtain an integrated masters degree.

I'm currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester. I enjoy working through tough problems and finding satisfying solutions. I hope to encourage more students into a Mathematics or Physics career by helping them discover the beauty of the subjects. I enjoy playing and coaching chess in my spare time.
