As someone who was born and raised in Germany, I have a deep understanding and appreciation for the German language. I have tutored for over 3 years now and in my spare time like to go on hikes in the Lake District I studied my GCSEs in the North-West of England and then went on to study A-level biology, chemistry and maths near the Lake District for a change of teaching style. I am an engineering university student with a diverse educational background from different countries. Owing to my diverse experience, I am able to teach using varied curricula, adopt different systems, and incorporate appropriate approaches to meet the needs of the students. I am still a student, so I have first-hand experience with what students require from a student's perspective. Although I have around 3 years of experience working as a part-time tutor, both online and physical,  I have been tutoring as a volunteer for about 8 years now.  I have worked with students from different parts of the world of all levels and ages. Aside from teaching as a career, I am passionate about it because I aspire that "learning should be fun." I teach because I love it, because I enjoy it, and because I want to help the student improve in the most amusing way possible. As the saying goes "if you do what you love, you will do it with passion," and I am here to help the students realize that they love learning. I began my lower-level studies in Tanzania (my home country), where I picked up the British educational system. I later received a scholarship to study abroad as an exchange student, moved to the US to complete part of my high school there, and then returned to Tanzania to finish my A-levels. At this point, starting with the modest volunteer programs I was taking part in in Tanzania, this is when I first learned about teaching. I was awarded another scholarship to Turkey to start my bachelor's in engineering. And this is when I started teaching as a part-time profession, taking it to the next level. I currently live in Lithuania as an Erasmus student and am constantly exploring new adventures and experiences as a teacher through different youth programs and volunteer camps. I am really looking forward to helping students to learn online. As a qualified teacher I worked in mainstream education for over 40 years teaching Key Stage 3 Science and also Key Stage 4 Combined Science and Separate Sciences to GCSE level as well as key Stage 5 Physics to Advanced level. I have also taught part of the GCSE Maths specification. After retirement I continued to teach as a Supply teacher at Secondary and Primary level. Also over the last year when classes were isolating at home I taught some classes online. I always enjoy the buzz of teaching and the excitement of experiencing students learning and helping them to progress with their lives. My Physics degree was from Bristol University and my MSc from Birmingham University. In my spare time I like to keep up by reading about recent advances in Science and where we are heading. As a teacher I used to run the table tennis and chess teams and would include those activities as my hobbies. So through online teaching I look to be efficient and adaptable hoping to help as many students as possible.
