Hi, I’m Paul. I mostlytutor Maths and Science as well as Computer Science and English as a Foreign Language, which I trained in at Columbia Teachers’ College, USA. Originally I studied for a BA in Natural Sciences. I have been a classroom teacher and tutor for over 15years, in the UK as well as South Korea, Japan and China, and more recently have developed Science courses for a large online learning platform. My tutorials are often centered around structured practice of specific topic areas, with an approach geared toward getting students to speak freely about topics in their own voices. I am happy to tailor sessions with either general revision, exam preparation or new learning and discovery in mind. In my free time, I enjoy tennis, movies and triathlons. Hope to see you soon!

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I moved to Ireland when I was 12 years old. I love Maths and English, but I decided to study Science in college. I love reading classic novels, writing funny stories, and watching Korean dramas. I enjoy travelling, cooking Asian foods and making my friends laugh. I look forward to helping more students! I wrote my Junior and Leaving Certificate in Ireland. For my Leaving Certificate, I studied English (H), Maths (H), Biology (H), Chemistry (H), LCVP (Common), Accounting (H) and French (H). I obtained my BSc. in Analytical and Forensic Science with a Distinction at LYIT (now ATU). I also have a TEFL Certificate for teaching English.

I'm a medical student with 8+ years tutoring (A level / GCSE,). My expertise in chemistry / biology / maths. I have lots of experience in teaching humanity subjects such as English, sociology, and history. * Only AS chemistry and maths * I teach students at varying levels so it's important to adapt and adjust accordingly. If you're a visual learner, let's draw. If you're an auditory learner, let's discuss. If you're a note taker, let's learn the best note taking method for you! I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information. With experience in tutoring all the way up to Undergraduate level in Mathematics, Engineering and Physics, I can provide a high level of support and assistance in these fields. I don’t just tutor and research all day either! I (try to!) surf as much as I can and I also work on various wildlife film projects, many being underwater shoots. I’m not here to judge you on your abilities. There are no stupid questions. I won’t be shouting equations at you. I like to work in a relaxed and supportive environment where we can focus on your needs and targets together while tailoring the sessions for you so that we can achieve our goals. I am final year dental medicine student with a focus on patient care, bringing forth a compassionate and friendly attitude. I have a deep enthusiasm for teaching and a strong commitment to student development. I create inclusive classrooms where every learner can thrive. After completing my A-levels, I pursued certification as a licensed first aider before embarking on my dental medicine degree (DMD). I love to travel, read, eat and try new activities! I like learning about different cultures and the history behind the cultures. I took up running during the pandemic and my aim is to one day run a half marathon and once that's achieved, run a full marathon. I love teaching and am very passionate about it. I did GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, RS, Drama, ICT, Business Studies, and got additional qualifications such as Critical Thinking AS Level when I was in secondary school. My A Levels were in English Literature and Language, Accounting and Economics.
