Hi I'm Katie. In my free time I like to be with my friends, as well as social events within university, such as out chem eng society! Also, I enjoy cooking and baking and coming up with new recipes and flavours, as well as sharing this to my friends; especially cakes! I'm currently a masters student at the University Of Birmingham studying chemical engineering. I have a strong passion for both chemistry and maths and i believe these supply the fundamentals for understanding how the world works and can be applied to any real life concept or problem. At school I achieved grade 9 and 8 in Maths and chemistry in GCSE, to then be followed by AA at A level. I also studied physics at a level where i achieved a grade B. I have been a tutor with go student for 5 years. I previously tutored younger students during my time at secondary school, this gave me an insight into the concepts that are often misunderstood and ways I can use my knowledge to overcome this, and i now have over two years of online tutoring experience. Hi, I'm Rafaela, a 19 year old university student who believes learning should be engaging and built on a genuine connection. I grew up in an international school abroad providing me with a diverse range of knowledge on different cultures as well as a broader perspective. At school I was head girl, providing me with leadership qualities as well as experience working with students from a wide range of year groups. When I’m not tutoring or studying, you'll probably find me at the gym with my friends, playing netball, reading a new book or baking something sweet. My hobbies not only bring me joy but they have taught me valuable lessons. For example, I have learnt both in and outside of school that practice does make perfect, and that nothing is impossible but instead sometimes a difficult journey to success. I am a University of York Computer Science student originally from Australia but now living in York! Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds.
