I have taught over 2900 sessions with Go Student. Subjects : English, History, Religious Studies, Geography, Arts and Photography KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE My name is Alicia and I am delighted to be teaching English, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Arts and Photography for Go Student. I am a Masters graduate and a passionate educator. I studied a Bachelor of Arts and since I have three years of experience working as a visiting practitioner/lecturer for BA students as alumni at my university. I also worked or Role Models as a course leader teaching life skills to children aged 3-15 across the world. I believe that every child is a different type of learner and their academic and personal growth is best when they nurture their individual passions. They are capable of learning anything , they simply need to be given the tools and skills to pursue it. Therefore it is vital for children to have dedicated mentors who support them through the different stages of their journey. I am passionate about demonstrating and encouraging students to explore, discover, and cultivate their strengths both academically and creatively. I am a Masters graduate and I studied a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and publishing . Since graduating I have had four years of experience working as an online tutor as well as working as alumni and a practitioner for first and second year BA students.

Very interested in personal development, health and fitness (favourite sports include badminton and swimming), and all things science. Hobbies include travelling, photography, charity fundraising and I love reading a wide genre of books (mainly fiction like fantasy and adventure). GCSE grades: 10 subjects, achieved grades 7-9 including 999 in triple science. A level grades: Biology (A*), Chemistry (A), Psychology (A*) Current degree: Master of Pharmacy at UCL Additionally, I have also achieved an A* in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This is a project completed during A-Levels and involves independent research and essay writing. I can help with choosing topics, help with proofreading, references, literature review, and research resources.

English GCSE - year 10&11 only Russian all levels I am an enthusiastic and devoted tutor. I am aware of different challenges that students face and I develop different strategies to help them to overcome them. There isn’t always an opportunity for students to ask questions and receive a lot of personal attention in the school classrooms, so I always encourage students to explain to me what they struggle with the most and which areas make the least sense, so they don’t go back to their school lessons still feeling confused and worried that they don’t understand something. In addition, I encourage them to think and analyse, I try to avoid giving answers, instead I help students find them themselves. I believe it’s such an important life skill. I consider each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I always strive to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in my online classroom. I build my relationship with everyone on mutual respect and trust. I prefer when students see me as a mentor, rather than a teacher, and I call our meetings “sessions”, rather than “lessons”. I have been teaching GCSE & A-Level Maths & Sciences for 5 years now. Taking complicated ideas and simplifying them down to simple, discrete, and graspable bite-sized chunks is my passion. Exam prep. & practice is what I specialize in. Having been through the med-school application process and exams, I have learned quite a bit about exam strategies. I am a 4th-year medical student, studying to become a medical doctor. I completed 4 A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. Prior to that, I did my GCSEs in the same subjects plus a few others. I managed to get straight A*s and thought I could help others do the same.

I graduated from high school in 2019, and I passed the Romanian Baccalaureate, which is a series of exams equivalent to A-levels, in the following subjects: Maths, Romanian, Biology, English, IT, and ECDL (The European Computer Driving Licence). I am currently in my third year of university, studying Marine Biology at University of Plymouth.
