I am confident in my abilities to teach subjects such as Maths and Physics to the age groups of primary up until GSCE level, having experience with exam boards such as AQA and Edexcel. Languages: I can speak conversational Bengali and fluent English. I obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering with First Class Honours at the undergraduate level, and look forward to studying a postgraduate course in MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering with Energy at the University of Birmingham. Things I like to do in my spare time include training regularly at the gym because I am a massive fan of fitness, and I have a guilty pleasure of watching anime shows (which are NOT cartoons :D ) and watching Formula 1. And a weird thing about me is that I go by another name (Nahid) which my friends and family call me, but you can be my friend also so you call me what you find easy to remember :) I received a Grade B in Chemistry, C in Maths and C in Physics at A-Level, which allowed me to be accepted onto a course I really enjoyed in Chemical Engineering BEng at Aston University. At GCSE, Maths and Science were my favourite subjects and I achieved Grade A's for both of these subjects and a Grade B in Further Maths.

Hello! I'm Maddy, I'm 23 years old currently completing my Master's in Public Health at Cardiff University. I completed my undergraduate degree in Population Health and Medical Sciences at Swansea University, where I obtained First Class Honours. My hobbies and interests include health and fitness... primarily because I also love to bake. I also enjoy reading and socializing with friends! My guilty pleasures include: binge watching TV series (usually the same ones over and over again) and scrolling through TikTok for hours on end. I can assure you that whilst I loved studying biology, it wasn't without its challenges. I have first hand experience in building confidence for both day-to-day lessons and preparing for all aspects of exams. I myself, was tutored for A-level Biology, an experience that proved invaluable in aiding my understanding and providing tools for self directed study across all subject areas. This transpired onto my further academic studying as well. I endeavor to not only aid in the learning of a subject but also reflect and teach these fundamental tools in the tuition I provide. It would be great to help another student, whatever their age or aspirations for their chosen subject may be. Subjects: Lower level: science GCSE: Biology, English Literature / Language A-level: Biology, Psychology

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

Physics tutoring to improve grades and self-confidence
Poor performance at school is often due to low self-confidence rather than a lack of effort or competence, a fact which is often overlooked. In addition, teachers at school rarely have time to stop a lesson and repeat the concepts for those who didn’t understand, leading students to fall behind in their work.
This is where a private physics tutor can step in. They can explain topics in different ways and adapt their teaching style to suit each student.
Physics tuition allows students to take their time and ask questions about concepts they are not sure of. This leads to increased confidence in their abilities and better results in their exams.
The advantages of studying physics
Physics is a branch of physical science that involves the study of matter and its motion and behaviour through time and space, along with related concepts such as energy and force.
