Hello! I am Riddhi. I was a graduate student studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh 2021-22 and have now switched to web development recently. I am particularly interested in teaching Physics as well as Mathematics, as I can confidently claim that I have developed a deep intuition for both of these disciplines over the years. I believe that learning both Maths and Physics can be made into a fun process if taught accurately! I have done a Post-graduation course in Theoretical Physics. Apart from my personal education, my tutoring expertise lies in teaching Physics from Year 8 till Year 13, as well as teaching Maths till Year 9. I have been in the tutoring profession for past 5 years now. My greatest achievement so far would be getting a student from zero interest in studying Physics, to teaching them beyond their current year curriculum within just months. Being a Masters student, I understand the necessity for learning certain conventions (the hardest bit for a lot of students) in Physics and Maths, understanding which makes students grasp the subject matter much more efficiently.

I've always enjoyed maths, which inspired me to pursue a degree in Economics and Finance. I adore the logical reasoning underlying these courses and enjoy applying them to real-world situations, particularly in physics. I believe that with the appropriate direction and technique, anyone can thrive in these areas. My teaching technique is based on recognising each student's unique needs and learning style, which helps to make the content more relatable and interesting. By rigorously adhering to the specification and marking schemes, I ensure that students understand exactly what is required to succeed. I am kind, sympathetic, and dedicated to helping students gain confidence through clear explanations and constant practice. My goal is not only to assist students improve their grades, but to make them love the learning process and feel confident in their talents. With a 1st Class degree in Economics and Finance, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. My career includes extensive experience in calculating risk for North American Commercial Real Estate, where I specialised in loan underwriting and corporate expansion as well as underwriting in the digital payments world for EU and British companies.

**************************** **************************** I’M ON HOLIDAY 16TH JUNE TO 1ST JULY 2025. I’M STILL ACTIVELY TEACHING UPON MY RETURN. PLEASE ENQUIRE IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN LESSONS BUT EXPECT A DELAYED RESPONSE. **************************** **************************** I am a maths/statistics tutor and data engineer with over ten years of teaching experience. Academic background: - Sussex University - PhD Hirschfeld scholar; pass with minor corrections - Sussex University - 1st class honours MMath degree I`ve spent 6 years in industry working in the data tech industry. I apply maths and technical skills to solve data engineering problems, as well as conduct technical training work alongside for work colleagues. I work closely with data engineering technologies like Python and SQL. What to Expect From Lessons: Lessons are delivered in 50 minute batches. They consist of breaking down complex theoretical concepts into simplified components followed by examples and exam problems to solidify understanding of the topic. I encourage the student to explore the concepts themselves with me prompting them rather than just writing out a formulae. I focus on sharing deep mathematical insights with my student. This is a skill I refined as a PhD student. I aim to make lessons interactive and goal-oriented. I combine this with reinforcing their knowledge of theoretical concepts throughout the lesson. Luckily, I had George to tutor me. His tutoring style was extremely effective, we would discuss beforehand what I wanted to go over, and I would send him any relevant documents from my lectures about things I was not understanding, and he would prepare explanations and worked through examples, and then we would go over similar examples together. We dealt with a wide range of mathematical problems, such as integration by parts, various methods of solving differential equations and comparative static analysis, and all of these topics were handled extremely well and taught excellently. George is punctual and shows a great deal of preparatory work before any lessons, and is then extremely effective at communicating and explaining complicated ideas. He is very knowledgeable and works extremely hard on each lesson. I would highly recommend George for anyone who needs maths help, regardless of the exact subject that you are studying." - University undergraduate, unknown date "Great tutor!
