The subjects I took included Triple Science, English Literature and Language, Maths, Geography, History, Art, and French. I took A levels in Biology, Chemistry and French. From my time working at a tuition centre, I interacted with students from a range of abilities, helping Year 11 students revise for final exams as well as younger pupils prepare for SATs and entry into grammar schools. I picked up many new skills and techniques to help me deliver the best lessons to all different types of students. I also had the chance to teach ESOL students from a wide variety of different backgrounds, helping to boost their confidence in written and spoken skills.

Subjects I teach: GCSE: Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Higher level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Most familiar exam board: Any Languages: English - Native speaker Preferred student age group: GCSE and A-level students (15-18) About me: Hello! I am a recent graduate from Brighouse, West Yorkshire, with a first class Master's degree in Mathematics (MMath) from the University of Nottingham. I had a great deal of success at degree level - having won academic prizes in all four years and conducted my own research on carbon fibre preforms. I also spent time using statistical techniques to conduct impact analysis at the University of Bath, where I was a PhD research student. In terms of tutoring, I have taught Further Maths A-level to a group of first year undergraduates and Further Maths GCSE to year 11 students. On top of this, I’ve had a number of online and face-to-face students, across a range of qualifications and exam boards. I love watching the lightbulb spark in my students and confidence blossom over time, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Finally, in my free time I enjoy going to the gym, running and doing puzzles. 1st class Master’s in Maths with Applied Mathematics, focussed on mathematical physics, scientific computation and statistics. During this time, I completed a summer research project on modelling the permeability of carbon fibre preforms and my dissertation on numerical methods for solving stochastic differential equations. I got full marks in my A-level Maths and Further Maths, and over the course of my A-level studies I spent time at the University of Cambridge and the University of Manchester. Finally, I was a PhD research student at the University of Bath where I studied impact analysis as well as Bayesian Methods and Quantum Computing.

I completed my A-Levels in the summer of 2019 achieving a grade A in Geography, Biology and Chemistry. I began a Chemistry degree in 2019 but quickly realised I did not have the love for the subject I thought I once had. I took a few years out to think about what I wanted to do and decided on an Aerospace Engineering degree, however to be able to do this I completed a foundation year at Birmingham which included, A-Level maths with aspects of Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.

I am a recent graduate with a masters degree in physics from the University of Manchester, currently working as a theoretical physics researcher. I also have experience giving one on one classes to an A level physics student in London. I have always loved maths and physics and feel as though the key is to find the way of understanding the subject that works for you, and this is my approach to tutoring. I am also a big lover of music and food and spend a lot of my free time cooking and eating. I obtained A*s at A-level in physics, maths and spanish and went on to study an MPhys in physics at the University of Manchester, specialising in theoretical physics, from which I graduated with a first class degree. Whilst studying physics I continued learning languages at university taking 1 year of spanish and 2 years of russian. Since graduating I have been working as a junior researcher in the Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Zaragoza in Spain performing research into the possible detection of dark matter candidate particles.

I am a researcher with a strong interest in mathematics, data science, AI and programming. I believe these subjects hold a lot of potential for humanity and therefore enjoy teaching them during my spare time. I also like to introduce people who are new to the world of technology how easy it can be to learn and become good at it. I believe that anybody anywhere with a brain and an interest to learn can learn and become good in mathematics, computing, data science and any other field of endeavour as long as they set their minds to it. I want to let you see how easy these subjects can be. I love to work out, take a walk, visit lit places and hang out occasionally with friends. I like the game of chess too.

Sports are woven into the fabric of my life, whether I'm the one playing or just an eager spectator. Whether it's the heart-pounding excitement of football, the strategic moves in tennis, or the lightning-speed action of F1, I'm hooked. As a tutor, I'm excited to bring my diverse background and interests to the table.
