Alongside my English Literature degree, I am a competitive middle-distance athlete and worked within the executive team, as VP of Sport, on my college committee at the University of York. I also enjoyed my role as a course ambassador, speaking to prospective students and parents at open days about studying English at Undergraduate level and university life in general. While at University, I began teaching English Literature and Language via zoom, primarily to GCSE students, with the hope of tutoring at A-Level too. My sessions are always based on the personal areas that each individual student wishes to focus on, to consolidate or enhance their understanding of the given topic. I am patient and understanding, so promise to support each student at their own pace and be not only a tutor, but also a reassuring support-system to whom they can direct any questions or queries. I hope to guide and support other students in their personal academic goals, through a focus on exam technique, revision methods and coping with the potential stress that may arise during exam season, to help get the best out of each individual. I recently graduated from the University of York with a First class honours degree in English and Related Literature. My modules covered an expansive geographical and temporal range from Latin Literature and the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance and 20th Century American Literature. In my A-Levels, I achieved 3x A*s in English Literature, History and Latin. In my GCSEs, I achieved a grade 9 in the following subjects: English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Latin, History, Religious Studies and Computer Science, with an 8 in Chemistry.

Alongside this, I have experience teaching AQA and Edexcel math to both GCSE and A-Level students. I have also successfully tutored students taking the UCAT and BMAT and then preparing them for medical school interviews. Languages: I am fluent and comfortable in tutoring in both English and Urdu. Preferred student age group: I have prior experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level students so am comfortable teaching students in secondary school through to sixth form/college. About me: Having moved from Pakistan to the UK at a very young age, I was fortunate enough to stay and study here. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels and did very well in both. I am now in a gap year but hold an unconditional offer to study medicine at Leicester Medical School, beginning September 2024. Away from my studies I love travelling and experiencing new cultures, and have been fortunate enough to travel to several countries in the last year alone. Through this, I have learnt some of life's most important lessons and have grown as a person which has allowed me to reflect and understand exactly who I want to be. I am a firm believer that striking a good balance between work and our personal lives is vital to living a happy and fulfilling life. Hello, my name is Lorenzo and I am an Italian mathematician. I have been a university lecturer of maths at the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Rome Sapienza from 2020 till 2025. I have worked at an international college in Rome (courses fully taught in English language) as a teacher of maths and physics for international students of years 10 and 11, following UK Cambridge curriculum and preparing them for their IGCSE exam. I am also a private tutor of maths and physics since approximately 25 years, and I have been recently awarded with the University of London Worldwide Recognised Tutor Status. Hi! I’m Regie Faith, a licensed Civil Engineer and TEFL-certified Math teacher. I enjoy teaching Math in simple and practical ways that make learning less intimidating, and I’ve worked with students of all ages both in class and online. Outside of teaching, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and playing board games, hobbies that keep me creative and patient in my lessons. I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Leyte State University and later earned a TEFL certification.
