Hi - my name is Raghav. One my greatest passions is cooking. Having achieved the highest score in the country for OCR GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition, I have started to teach younger students different cooking techniques. This requires patience, determination and resilience; skills I believe I possess and am ready to use in tutoring! I attended King Edward VI Grammar School in Chelmsford and have recently completed my A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science (predicted 4 A*s). I also completed my GCSEs at this school and achieved 14 Grade 9s (Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Geography, Food Preparation and Nutrition, Religious Studies, Statistics, French, Hinduism) and an A (highest grade) in FSMQ. I have been a mentor at my school for GCSE Maths and Economics and have helped students improve their grade by 3 levels in the past. I am very confident in my ability to teach students successfully!

I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. I have a solid educational background, which has provided me with valuable insights and knowledge. Alongside my academic achievements, I’m also dedicated to fitness and regularly attend the gym to maintain both my physical and mental well-being. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun!
