Hi, Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Chloé (my name is Chloé) and I am a French native speaker :) As travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages is a real passion of mine, I am very excited to share my own; French culture and language. I myself had to learn a language that is not my native language (English) so I definitely know how challenging it is for my students to learn a new language. Therefore I can particularly help my students to overcome the fears they can have to learn a new language and truly put myself in their shoes. As it worked for me, I like to give lively interactive lessons using images or videos to optimise memory and focus. I also encourage my student to speak as much as possible, as I believe it is the best way to learn any language : 'PARLER, PARLER, PARLER'. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. I also have some experience in teaching A Levels and most particularly with adult learners and travellers. I have experience in private French and Art lessons with children aged 6 to 15. My interests include: travelling : I travelled and lived in over 11 countries and got to know very diverse cultures all over the world. Important : please note that I do not teach English anymore. Teaching Art : I have an Art and design BTEC and studied a BA at the university of the Arts of London (UAL) and currently studying at les beaux arts of Paris and have been a practicing artist ever since. There I got the ESOL Entry 2 (NQF) and the IELTS ( grade 6.5) followed by the BTEC in Art & Design (equivalent to the bacalaureat) and then moved forward to a Fine art BA at UAL. Currently, I am in my third year of BA at Les beaux Arts of Paris ; where the French literary level is very high and sustained. In other words, I'll be very comfortable in both language to give you the clearest French lessons and to support you all along throughout the learning path you're taking!

Hi! I'm Nayen. I was born and grew up in London (which is where I live now). Alongside tutoring, I work in the UK space sector, helping promising start-ups to grow by securing investment. I love to keep fit, travel, and am a bit of a sci-fi geek. Mathematics is a passion of mine and I hope I can give you as much enthusiasm for it as I have! --- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.
