Hi, I'm Ishwinder, a second-year undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. Having recently completed my A-Levels, the knowledge and exam techniques are all still in my mind and I wish to transfer this to students taking their GCSEs or A-Levels in maths/ physics. Studying maths and physics at university level means I still use the underlying concepts learnt from school years so younger students will find my advice, solutions, examples very helpful. - currently studying for a BA Hons in Natural Sciences (physical) at the University of Cambridge, specifying in applied maths and physics - 3 A*s at A Level in maths, further maths and physics - 6 grade 9s (including maths and English), 4 grade 8s at GCSE

Hi Shaun here, I am a Grammar school student and having done the 11+ myself find comfortable in tutoring students taking the 11+ in addition to those in Years 7-11, as my main strengths are in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I did take Biology and Chemistry for my A levels and have achieved A grades in all these subjects. I am currently a medical undergraduate student working towards my Medical Degree. I was a Grammar School student having completed my GCSEs and A-Levels before I moved on to University. I am currently a Medical undergraduate student. For my GCSEs I achieved grade 9 in Math, Biology and Physics, grade 8 in Geography and Chemistry and grade 7 in both English literature, language, History and Spanish. For my A-Levels I achieved grade A for Biology and Chemistry. Towards my university admission process for medicine I took the UCAT test having achieved a score of 3060 placing me in the top 3% of UCAT test takers in the country for that year.

Hi! I'm Lisa. I enjoy helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the material, rather than simply memorising content for exams. I believe that understanding the fundamentals is the key to long-term success, so I focus on explaining concepts clearly and encouraging students to ask questions. My goal is not only to help students achieve their target grades but also to develop the problem-solving skills and knowledge that will benefit them in further study and university. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the guitar and listening to music, particularly Chinese artists such as Jay Chou. I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable learning and making mistakes. I graduated from St Paul’s Girls’ School for sixth form and achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I am an upcoming second year Mechanical Engineering student studying at Imperial College London. I have add around three years tutoring 1v1 and 1v2 experiences in KS3 sciences and GCSE maths.

Welcome to my profile. I teach 11+, GCSE Science (physics, chemistry, and biology), and Mathematics. I use notes and revision resources that have been carefully tailored to each student's specific needs. With their exam board content, revision/practice questions, and particularly repeated past papers, I have been able to instill confidence, critical thinking, and a genuine understanding of the subject in all of my students while ensuring they enjoy the process. I look forward to beginning this journey with you. I have over 4 years (1000+ hours) of experience teaching these subjects: GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Mathematics, and 11+. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering and an international teaching certificate (TESOL). I bring both academic expertise and practical teaching experience to my lessons. Having achieved top grades (A**) in GCSE Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, I understand the challenges students face and tailor my teaching to help them succeed. I create a friendly and interactive learning space where everyone feels comfortable. This helps build confidence and ensures that students really understand the important concepts they need to reach their academic goals.

Hi! I’m a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their full potential. Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day, something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor. I understand what it feels like to doubt your ability, and more importantly, I know exactly how to turn things around. My goal is to help my students achieve the same transformation or even better! I have over a year of tutoring experience, and I truly find it one of the most rewarding things I do. Seeing students grow in confidence and improve their grades is why I love tutoring. Subjects & Exam Boards Geography GCSE: SQA, AQA, Edexcel A-Level: AQA, Edexcel, OCR Sociology GCSE: AQA A-Level: AQA English Language & Literature GCSE: AQA (texts may vary) GCSE literature texts: - Macbeth - Romeo and Juliet - An Inspector Calls - Blood Brothers - A Christmas Carol - Power and conflict anthology - Worlds and lives anthology - Of mice and men A-Level English Literature: AQA (texts may vary) TEXTS: - Othello - Tess of the d'Urbervilles - The Kite Runner - A thousand splendid suns - William Blake poetry - Little women - The Handmaid's tale - Death of a salesman Education experiences: I am currently a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham, where I am developing a strong academic foundation in both physical and human geography. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, essay writing, research skills and ability to interpret complex data, all of which I integrate into my tutoring. At A-Level, I exceeded expectations by achieving AAB, despite being predicted significantly lower grades. This experience has shaped my academic mindset and my approach to tutoring. I understand the importance of effective revision strategies, exam technique, and building confidence alongside subject knowledge.
