I am an extremely enthusiastic and positive person. I currently teach English early years, Primary school/Reception year. SEND Primary and Highschool and ESL, with over 25 years experience. Patience is my middle name. I am an energetic and a fun teacher. Using a variety of methods including: auditory, visual, reading/writing, verbal and kinaesthetic movement. I look forward to meeting you, my future student. My academic journey started after high school and continues to present. Studying and learning never stops. It is a part of self growth. I actively ensure I continuously follow CLP. Fields of teaching include: English Reception year, English Primary school, English Primary and Highschool for SEN, SEND and ALN students who are looking to improve their skills in English. I also teach English as a Second language and Business English. An achievement of mine was when one of my students won GOLD at the Shanghai Special Olympics. In January 2025, GoStudent have added AI to GoClass. AI training was completed and is boosting tutoring outcomes.

Hi, my name is Aoife, I am 18 years old and currently a first year law student at the University of Leeds (and an aspiring human rights lawyer!). My special subject is English, primarily English literature. My highest academic achievements are my 3 A levels (A* in politics, A in history, B in English literature). I am willing to tutor the English subject to all ages, especially primary and secondary as I believe this is when that extra boost in confidence is so important! My passion for English is reflected in my GCSE grades too - achieving a grade 9 in English language and grade 8 in English literature. I have previous experience with children with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD, shaping my teaching style as one of patience and prioritising clarity without exerting pressure on a student. I personally struggled with confidence in both primary and secondary school, and going through tutoring myself helped with this enormously. My personal hobbies include reading and creating artwork in my free time. I look forward to helping you/your child with English and literacy skills! For secondary school I attended Carr Manor Community school, achieving GSCEs all grade 7 and above. I excelled in humanities subjects, with a grade 9 in both history and English language and a grade 8 in English literature. My academic passion carried on into my A levels which I completed at Notre Dame Catholic VI Form College. I achieved an A* in A level politics, A in A level history and a B in English literature. I have gone on to be accepted to study law at the University of Leeds, a Russell group university. I remain open to constantly improving my skills and developing new ones and therefore significantly look forward to tutoring new students, sharing my knowledge and developing my own. I'm from a very small village near Barcelona, and growing up there gave me the ability to grow up bilingual. I consider myself to be very sociable, and my ultimate favourite thing is to travel and meet new people, I believe that it's the most enriching experience that anyone can have. I am fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English. I attended an extracurricular private English school from a very young age, what made me capable of acquiring an acceptable level of English before moving to England. I've spent the last three years teaching Spanish speakers English, and preparing them for the Cambridge exams. I definitely believe that my experience teaching English to Spanish children and my attendance to an English academy is an absolute game changer, as I know first hand what it takes to try to learn a new language - and let me tell you, it is possible! From the age of 3 I attended a private school in Spain, where Spanish and Catalan were equally spoken. I consider both to be my mother language. From the age of 8 I started attending an English academy as an extracurricular activity. There I was prepared to take the Cambridge English Official Exams. I spent 10 years there, and I'm happy to say that it was the knowledge and experience that I gained there what motivated me to go to university in England. I'm currently studying in London, and I know first hand how learning a new language can completely change your life.
