Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop. I'm currently studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at the University of Leeds, building on my A-levels in Maths, Economics, and History. I’ve always had a passion for understanding how the world works—whether through economic systems, political structures, or philosophical thought. Outside of my academic life, I really enjoy teaching and helping others learn. I often spend time tutoring my 13-year-old brother and younger cousins, which has not only strengthened my communication skills but also deepened my own understanding of the subjects I love.
