I graduated from Lancaster University with a Bsc in Mathematics and Statistics 2025 and have been teaching on the GoStudent platform for nearly 4 years now teaching children aged 9-17. I spent a gap year working as a teaching assistant in my local primary school where I primarily worked with year 6. However, I also had experience with years 3,4 and 5. I will also be doing placements in a further two secondary schools and a primary school for my qualifications at university My main hobby is gaming and esports such as Overwatch where I used to play professionally and reached top 100 ranked in Europe. I now play on the university team and also coached players to help them improve! Hi, I’m Jace Steele, an enthusiastic and dedicated math teacher who believes that mathematics should be understood, appreciated, and enjoyed. I’m passionate about helping students discover that math is more than just numbers and formulas. For me, it’s about logic, patterns, and real-life problem-solving. I design my lessons to be interactive and engaging, using relatable examples and practical applications so students can see how math connects to their everyday lives. My goal is not just to help them get the right answers, but to build their confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and develop a positive mindset toward learning. Hi! I’m Catherine Solomon, a passionate tutor who loves turning tricky concepts into those “aha!” moments. I teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Science, Math, and English, and I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning space where students feel comfortable, and where learning is both fun and rewarding. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, where I developed strong problem-solving skills and discovered my passion for teaching while working as a part-time tutor. I’ve taught subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Science, and Math, helping students better understand challenging concepts. I also have experience teaching English to diverse learners, supporting them in building confidence and achieving their academic goals.

As a current university student, I understand the challenges of academic work and exams. I hope to instil resilience and confidence in students by offering clear explanations, practical study strategies and focused support tailored to each students goals. My sessions are structured but friendly and help students feel comfortable whilst making real progress. I graduated Secondary School with 3 A Levels: English Literature (A*), Politics and Government (A*), History of Art (A) and and Extended Project Qualification (A). I am currently a student of the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University meaning I am working on two BA degrees (one from each institution) simultaneously over four years. Both degrees are in English Literature but I hope to minor in History of Art for my Columbia degree.
