I’m a Business Economics graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. I’m passionate about helping students not just understand their subjects, but feel confident applying what they’ve learned in exams. For my A-levels, I studied Mathematics, Economics, and Psychology under the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. This gave me a solid academic foundation and a strong understanding of both numerical and essay-based subjects. I completed my IGCSEs under the Cambridge exam board, which exposed me to an internationally recognised curriculum and helped me build disciplined study habits from an early stage. I also completed part of my education in Nigeria, which has given me a broader perspective on learning and allows me to connect with students from different backgrounds and adapt to their individual needs and growth.

As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. I take a personalised approach to each student's learning needs, tailoring my teaching style to their unique strengths and weaknesses. Over the years, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including primary school students, high school students, and university undergraduates. I specialise in teaching algebra, calculus, and geometry, and I am always excited to take on new challenges. I am proud to say that my past students have achieved excellent results under my guidance, with many of them scoring top grades in their exams and developing a love for maths. Some of my most rewarding experiences as a tutor have been seeing my students grow in confidence and independence, and knowing that I played a part in their success. It was during this time that I realised the profound beauty and significance of mathematics in our everyday lives. Building upon this foundation, I pursued a Master's degree in Data Science, a field that seamlessly blends mathematical principles with cutting-edge technology. This advanced degree equipped me with the knowledge and skills to harness the power of data, utilising mathematical models, algorithms, and statistical analysis to derive meaningful insights. My Master's program not only enhanced my mathematical prowess but also sharpened my ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios. Hi! I'm a student at the University of Bristol studying a degree in Mathematics and Physics. Studying maths at a degree level means I am constantly working with complex mathematical concepts everyday, and I plan to bring that depth of understanding when tutoring GSCE and A-level Maths. I have around a year experience in tutoring GSCE Maths, which has helped me develop a clear and effective teaching style. Also, having completed my A-levels during 2025 summer and achieving an A and also a grade 8 in GSCE Mathematics, I have a strong understanding of exam content and also effective advice for revision, ensuring student success in exams. I focus on breaking down hard topics into simple clear explanations , helping to build understanding, student confidence and also exam technique through practice. I will tailor each lesson based on the students individual needs, ensuring they feel supported and make progress. I am patient, relatable and also very committed in helping students achieve the best of their potential. I studied my GSCEs in Chatham Grammar School, achieving grade 8 in GSCE Mathematics. I then went on to study a levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics at Rainham Grammar School, achieving a grade A in Edexcel Mathematics. I am now currently a first year, going onto second year, studying a BSc Mathematics and Physics at University of Bristol

I’m Tara Patel, a dedicated and passionate Math teacher I love making math engaging and meaningful by connecting lessons to real-life situations and using interactive activities that spark curiosity. My goal is to help you build confidence in problem-solving and truly enjoy working with numbers. I create a fun and supportive learning environment where you feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and succeed. Outside of teaching, I enjoy solving puzzles, watching educational videos, and taking peaceful morning walks. I graduated with a Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, and I am also a Juris Doctor. This academic background strengthened my skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.
