I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am now studying Law in university, which has been a passion of mine for many years. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. I am passionate about Chemistry, with a PhD in the subject and over five years of tutoring experience. My tutoring style is to ensure a solid foundation in the core concepts, then practicing the skills with exam questions. I cover all exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc) and all topics in Chemistry at GCSE and A level. My highest level of education is a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University. I also obtained an MChem with First Class Honours from Durham University. My A level subjects were Chemistry, Maths, Biology and French (all A grades), as well as 11 A* grades at GCSE.
