Hi! I’m Mehmood,20 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. Hi, I'm Chris, a recent graduate in nuclear engineering with a love of maths and physics. I help students to build confidence and improve their core understanding of maths and physics, A-Level and GCSE. I focus on breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps which helps students understand the content along with worked examples and exam questions which helps students to solve questions in an exam and achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lancaster University, specialising in nuclear engineering which involved a large amount of electrical engineering and particle physics. I also hold three A-Levels in maths, physics and chemistry from Thomas Rotherham College where I achieved an A*, A and B respectively. I also have GCSEs in maths (9), physics (9), chemistry (9), biology (9), computer science (9), geography (8), English language(8), English literature (7) from Winterhill School.
