I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. Last, but not least, I enjoy all forms of sugar - especially cake! Aside from my degree, I am qualified to teach TEFL. I really enjoy working with those who don't have English as a first language. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. Furthermore, I am qualified to do proofreading. This fits in well with teaching English. I also have a certificate in Counselling Skills.

Hi, I'm Saakshi! I'm a Neuroscience Master's graduate (King's College London) with experience supporting diverse learners. I studied BSc Neuroscience at the University of Sussex before completing an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mind Body interface at King’s College London, where I achieved a Distinction in my thesis. My studies were highly research‑intensive, giving me strong skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and translating complex scientific ideas into clear, accessible explanations. Throughout my degrees, I developed a deep understanding of cognitive processes, mental health, and evidence‑based learning — all of which shape the way I support students today.

I’m an ESL teacher with eight years of experience, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident in using English. Over the years, I’ve worked with different types of learners, so I’ve learned how to adjust my teaching style depending on what my students need. Outside the classroom, I volunteer in my community, especially working with youth. This is something very important to me because I believe education can really change lives. I’m a first-year Business student at Nottingham and an International Baccalaureate graduate, offering friendly and reliable tutoring.
