Hi! I am Sanjana, an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge with a huge passion to work with students to aid them gain confidence in a wide range of subjects. Having tutored in the past with children aged 4 - 16, I aim to work with the student on an individual level ensuring we work together, at the students own pace and way of learning. Aside from tutoring and study, I love creating in terms of art/design as well as in cooking, walking and listening to music! I attended Tonbridge Grammar School from Year 7 -11 and St Olaves Grammar School for the remainder for sixth-form where I achieved 7 x 9s and 2 A* and A. I am currently studying a BA in Architecture at the University of Cambridge, where I am a full-time student. Previously, I worked as a tutor at explore learning for 1.5 years where I taught students aged 4-16 in english, maths, 11+ and GCSE. I volunteered in primary schools aswell whereby I helped young students in art and crafts as well as english. I also have tutored students privately in art.

I'm a Mathematics and Data Science graduate of the London School of Economics, and I now run a startup that uses machine learning in drug discovery, so I put the maths I teach to work every day. I studied Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry at A-level, earning an A* in Maths, and I'm a two-time gold medallist in the National Physics Olympiad. I tutor Maths, Physics and Computer Science from GCSE through A-level, and I also prepare students for university admissions tests and Oxbridge applications. Having recently sat these exams myself, I know exactly where students get stuck. My approach is patient and diagnostic: I find the gap, rebuild from there, and focus on real understanding and problem-solving rather than memorising. Most of all, I love helping students go from dreading a subject to feeling confident and capable in it. I attended St Paul's School, where I took A-levels in Mathematics (A*), Physics (A), Computer Science (A) and Chemistry (A), along with an A* EPQ in electrical and systems engineering. At GCSE I earned seven grade 9s, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, and four grade 8s. I then studied for a BSc in Mathematics and Data Science at the London School of Economics (LSE), with coursework spanning machine learning, optimisation, real and complex analysis, probability and statistics, graph theory and algorithms. Alongside my degree I completed Harvard's CS50 and an MIT course in mathematics for finance. My specialisations are Maths, Physics and Computer Science at GCSE and A-level, and preparing students for university admissions tests (STEP, TMUA and ESAT) and Oxbridge applications. I'm also a two-time gold medallist in the National Physics Olympiad, which is exactly the kind of problem-solving these entrance exams reward.

English Durham University student | Tutor for GCSE and A-level English Literature and GCSE English Language EXAM BOARDS -AQA, IGCSE APPROACH My approach to tutoring is to identify and subsequently focus on the pupil's areas for improvement as well as to foster confidence and engagement by recognising their progress and areas of strength During my GCSEs, I attained 9s in English Literature, English Language, RS, History and Business. At Sixth Form, I attained AAAB in English Literature, Psychology, Business Studies and Religious Studies A-Levels. I also achieved an A* in my EPQ focusing on the depiction women in ancient Greek myths through oral, literary and artistic tradition. I am now an English Literature undergraduate at Durham University.

As of 2025, I have been a private tutor for a KS3 student (and I am also able to teach at higher or lower levels, such as KS1, KS2, GCSE and A-Level. I have focused on helping this student consolidate their understanding of core skills; where possible, I also aim to stretch the student's understanding beyond their years, helping them to get ahead in their studies. During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning. More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I look forward to helping students build confidence and enjoy learning as much as possible. I’m here to make our sessions fun, structured, and tailored to your pace, helping to place you on the path to success! I completed my GCSEs at Oulder Hill Leadership Academy, obtaining the highest grade available (9) in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science. I then completed my A-levels in 2024, obtaining grade A in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. As of 2025, I have been a private tutor for a KS3 student (and I am also able to teach at higher or lower levels, such as KS1, KS2, GCSE and A-Level. Alongside my A-levels, I gained a range of casual experience during college. I took part in an extracurricular programme called Maths Masterclasses, where I prepared worksheets and delivered presentations to primary school students, helping stretch their understanding of Maths beyond the standard curriculum. I was also a member of the Virtual Medical Society, working with other aspiring medical students to create presentations on topics such as medical current affairs, admission exams, and aspects of the application process. This helped me develop the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence. In addition, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and was awarded an A* for my work. My project, titled The Role of Health Literacy in Preventative Children's Medicine, deepened my understanding of the educational principles used in healthcare and how they can be applied within broader educational contexts.
