Hello there! Hope you are well. My name is Joshua Hailey and my pronouns are he/him. I have been an online tutor for over three years, and I hope this 'About Me' section gives you an insight into who I am and my teaching style. Before I go into more detail about who I am, I would urge you to read the reviews, (also on this page), from some of my current and past parents whose children I am teaching/have taught! These statements can help you make an informed decision and, (hopefully), choose me as your child's next tutor. I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. I also have a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over three years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. My sessions will see your child grow from strength to strength, as they learn new concepts and methods of success in their respective subject. You will not find me simply reading off a screen for the entire lesson, but you can expect interactivity to drive every single lesson that I will (hopefully) have with your child! In addition to English tuition, I also offer Primary Maths, 11+ and History. I have experience supporting students in all these subjects, and have completed them to a GCSE/A Level standard (for more information on this, please see my 'Academic Background' section). In summary, I promise to adopt a customised learning plan and positive ethos for your child across all sessions. As the parent, you deserve to feel included in your child's progress. I will endeavour to regularly update you through messages, comprehensive written reports and periodic phone calls should you want them! Hi, my name is Simranjyot and I started tutoring voluntarily at the age of 12. Since, then I have absolutely loved tutoring and I am truly passionate about this job. I love to make difference in students` lives and help them to see their true potential. I am second year Biomedical Science Student studying in Anglia Ruskin University. I have obtained grade 7 in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. During my foundation year, I learned A - Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics and managed to achieve grade A for all of the subjects.

I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth

Hi, I'm Evie, I'm 21 years old and currently studying Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University. I achieved a grade 9 in biology, chemistry and maths at GCSE, and I am looking forward to helping you do your best! I want to work together to tailor your tutoring experience to what you need the most. ◡̈ I attended Newcastle-under-Lyme School and NULS Sixth Form. At NULS, I achieved grade 8 in English language and PE, and a 7 in Spanish, with distinction in speaking. I achieved a grade 9 in all other GCSEs, including triple science and an extra GCSE in further maths. At A-level, I received a C in biology, chemistry, and maths and an A at AS level Photography. I am currently studying towards a BSc in Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University.
