Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths. Whether I'm doing cryptic crosswords or sudokus, I believe that challenging your brain is the most entertaining activity. I am currently attending Newcastle University studying Accounting and Finance. I completed my A-levels at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, where I achieved ABB. I completed my GCSEs at The Blyth Academy, where I achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s.

Hi there! I'm Tami Okono, and I’m excited to support you on your learning journey. I’m a Business Economics graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. I’m passionate about helping students not just understand their subjects, but feel confident applying what they’ve learned in exams. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual pace and learning style. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, travelling, and playing table tennis. Levels & Subjects I Teach PRIMARY: Mathematics, Science LOWER LEVEL ( 7-9 ): Mathematics, Science GCSE ( 10 - 11): Science, Mathematics, Business, Geography, History IGCSE ( 10 - 11): Science, Mathematics Exam Board Experience AQA - GCSE Edexcel - GCSE Cambridge - GCSE / IGCSE OCR - GCSE Languages English – Native French – Beginner Preferred Student Age Group Primary GCSE IGCSE I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Economics, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to break down complex ideas into simple, understandable concepts. For my A-levels, I studied Mathematics, Economics, and Psychology under the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I completed my IGCSEs under the Cambridge exam board, which exposed me to an internationally recognised curriculum and helped me build disciplined study habits from an early stage. I also completed part of my education in Nigeria, which has given me a broader perspective on learning and allows me to connect with students from different backgrounds and adapt to their individual needs and growth.
