Hello! I am a dual Australian–British national and a recent graduate with Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees. Having lived in four different countries, I understand first-hand the challenges and experiences of international students, and I bring this awareness into my tutoring through an empathetic and flexible approach. Last year, I had the opportunity to teach abroad in Switzerland, where I taught English to French, German, and Italian students learning it as a second language. This experience gave me valuable insight into the needs of ESL learners, allowing me to support students in building confidence and fluency in both written and spoken English. Education I recently completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, graduating with a Distinction and receiving the LLM Award for the highest overall grade in my cohort. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). For my A-levels, I studied English, Religious Studies, Psychology, and completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) - achieving four A*s. At GCSE level, I completed eight subjects, including a Grade 9 in English Language and a Grade 8 in English Literature, reflecting my strong foundation in the subject I now teach.

For my A-levels, I chose to specialise in Chemistry, BTEC Business and Mathematics—two rigorous and highly analytical subjects. Studying Chemistry allowed me to develop a deep understanding of scientific principles, practical laboratory skills, and the ability to analyse complex processes. Mathematics strengthened my logical reasoning, precision, and ability to approach problems methodically. Together, these subjects have equipped me with a strong analytical mindset and the resilience to tackle challenging material, such as Senior UKMT achieving gold certification. I am currently studying at the University of Birmingham, where I continue to build on the knowledge and skills developed during my earlier education. Being part of a leading academic institution has exposed me to a higher level of independent learning, critical analysis, and academic responsibility. My studies require strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to engage with complex concepts in depth. I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
