Hi, I’m Nushra Imtiyas a passionate and dedicated teacher of Mathematics and English, committed to helping students grow in both confidence and ability. I believe learning should never feel overwhelming, but instead be engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. Whether it’s analysing a text or solving a challenging Maths problem, I design lessons that spark curiosity and build independent thinking. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear, and relatable steps, making learning easier and more effective. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, where students are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and actively participate. In English, learners explore characters, themes, and real-life connections, while in Maths, concepts are linked to everyday situations to make them practical and easy to understand. Most importantly, I focus on building confidence step by step, celebrating progress and helping students move from “I don’t understand” to “I’ve got this.” Beyond teaching, I enjoy reading, playing netball, and jogging, which helps me stay energetic, focused, and positive in every lesson. For me, teaching is not just about academics it is about inspiring confidence, developing resilience, and helping students reach their full potential. I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering, with a strong focus on English, Mathematics, and Information Technology. This combination has given me a balanced approach to teaching, blending logical thinking with creativity. Over the past six years, I have taught and tutored students of different ages and abilities, which has helped me grow not only as a teacher but also as a supportive mentor. My academic background has strengthened my understanding of language, problem-solving, and effective communication. Through my experience, I have developed the ability to plan lessons that are clear, engaging, and well-structured, making learning feel manageable rather than overwhelming. I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs, whether a student benefits more from visuals, discussions, hands-on practice, or step-by-step guidance. Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

I'm Hannah and I'm a tutor for anyone between the ages of 4 to 16. I specialise in teaching primary school Maths, English and Literacy to children following the UK or Scottish curriculum but have taught a variety of others! I use lots of different methods to help you learn, which are personalised to what you need. I love learning through talking, which is why I love learning foreign languages and travelling! I also like being outside and I think hands-on learning is the best! I currently am studying for my MA in Education. I have received three As in Advanced Highers (equivalent to first year university level) in Maths, Spanish and Scottish Gaelic. I have received seven As in Highers (equivalent to AS levels) in Maths, English, History, Chemistry, Spanish, French and Scottish Gaelic.

Hi! I'm Rory and I am a current first year Engineering Science student at the University of Oxford. I am a keen tutor with a strong academic background in STEM subjects as well as others. Outside of my academics I take part in hockey, (try to) attend the weekly park run and I am a member of the Formula Student team. I look forward to meeting you! I have finished A levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths and obtained 3A* and an A. Along with an A in my EPQ relating to development of Space Technologies. At GCSE I received 8 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s with notable 9s in Maths, Physics and English Language. I have taken part in mentoring and tutoring programs for my peers in the past prior to becoming a tutor.
