I am a PPE student at the University of Manchester with a love of Mathematics and breaking complex problems into simple steps. As a dyslexic student, I understand the benefits that 1-1 support in education can bring and know first hand how much you can improve academically with focused support and hard work. Outside of academics and tutoring, I play several instruments including violin, piano and singing. I was recently awarded my grade 8 singing. Moreover I have enjoyed playing football since I was young and was the captain of the 1st XI football team in my secondary school. I am currently in the University of Manchester studying PPE. I achieved an A* in Mathematics at A level with 93% in the Pure Mathematics Paper, achieved the highest in my cohort in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, and a 9 at GCSE level. I am a highly approachable and engaging tutor with over two years of experience tutoring at GCSE level and 11+ entrance exams. Through a student programme, I also volunteered at a local primary school fortnightly teaching Mathematics to Year 4 students for a year.

My approach blends structure with creativity, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. With a background in psychology, I understand how students think, learn, and stay motivated. I use that knowledge to design lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s pace and personality. Whether it’s refining communication skills or solving complex equations, I aim to create a space where students feel confident, curious, and capable. Beyond teaching, I’m a professional chess master and a language enthusiast—constantly learning, just like my students. I believe that the best classrooms are built on connection, encouragement, and growth, and I strive to bring that energy into every session. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I’m also a certified TEFL teacher with over five years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning levels. In addition to teaching, I’ve led teams as a chess athlete and coach with a title of "Woman National Master" in the field of chess. Also, I continue to grow by exploring new languages and learning strategies. I hold a B.S. in Mathematics, a Post-Baccalaureate in Teacher Education major in Mathematics, and am pursuing an Master's in Education major in Mathematics. Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop. I love seeing wonderful personalities and interests come through, so I look forward to meeting you soon! Outside of tutoring, I am involved in marketing communications. In my spare time I like to watch movies, videos on dog grooming, skincare & perfumes, spend time with friends and bake (when I can).
