My goal is to provide subject-specific strategies to make challenging topics as as intuitive as possible for students, giving them the knowledge and confidence to tackle a whole range of problems. I also firmly believe that learning goes beyond the classroom; as such, I'm always happy to respond to messages at any time, even outside our sessions. Hi! I am a dedicated and friendly maths tutor with 3 years of experience supporting students at KS3, GCSE, and A-level. I focus on helping students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and improve exam technique in both pure and applied maths. I am confident working with all major UK exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR, and I tailor my sessions to match each student's syllabus and learning style. I have helped learners prepare effectively for GCSE and A-level exams, often helping them improve by a grade or more. Currently, I am studying Law at the University of Leeds, which sharpens my logical thinking and communication skills, which directly enhances my tutoring. I bring a calm, structured, and encouraging approach to every session, always aiming to make maths feel more manageable and even enjoyable! Currently studying Law at the University of Leeds, where I am developing strong analytical and communication skills. Achieved A levels in Maths (A), French (A), Biology (A), and Chemistry (A), providing a broad scientific and mathematical foundation. This diverse background supports my clear and logical learning styles, enabling me to explain complex concepts effectively.

Levels and subjects I teach: GCSE: Maths A Level: Maths, Biology Exam Board Experience: Further Maths - Edexcel Maths - Edexcel Chemistry - AQA Biology - AQA Language: English Preferred Student age group: GCSE & A-level Hi, my name is Michael. I am a friendly, patient and determined tutor. I recently finished my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I believe that this experience puts me in a great position to share my knowledge to help other students because I know what is needed in order to excel in these subjects. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I have previous experience teaching other students from my school A-level maths concepts which they struggled with. While preparing for A-levels I created some resources that enabled me to achieve 4 A*s in the subjects above and have helped other students. I would be happy to share these and other strategies I used in preparation for exams. Outside of academics, I am a relaxed person and enjoy a wide range of sports, my favourites being football and basketball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family. Feel free to message me with any questions. Amy W.

Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.

motivated 2nd year Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine student at the University of Nottingham, having achieved A*/9/A in the sciences and math at both GCSE and A-level, I love helping people and watching them succeed is extremely rewarding. In my spare time I like watching and playing chess, as well as playing basketball. I went to Colchester Royal Grammar School during my A-levels, where I took 4 A-level subjects (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and achieved A*/A in all four. During my time there, I have also volunteered to tutor GCSE biology to lower grade students, and recently have also joined another tutoring agency called Get Further, which aims to help disadvantaged students in further education colleges reach core functional GCSE grades like Maths and English in order to move to higher education, improving issues like social mobility
