Hello my name is Carla Edmunds, I am from South Africa, I am a 36 year old English, mathematics, Biology and Geography teacher. I am a qualified preschool teacher as well as a Pastry chef. I love to travel around the world teaching my subjects as well as travel for my leisure , however teaching is my passion, I love to learn from my students as well as making sure that my students enjoy and understand their lessons for the day. I am a qualified preschool teacher as well as a pastry chef. I have taught English, Mathematics, Biology and Geography while teaching in Asia, as well as online. I have learnt so many traditional food dishes on my travels as well as sharing my home recipes I love. I have a masters degree in Chiropractic, which I obtained from the Durban University of Technology. I am also a qualified online English teacher, I obtained my online teaching qualification from the TEFL Academy, UK. Hi! I’m a multilingual Chemical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh. I teach Spanish, English, Maths and Chemistry, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style. I focus on clear explanations, practical examples and interactive exercises to help students build confidence, improve their understanding and make steady progress. I am patient, approachable and happy to support both schoolwork and exam preparation. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, where my degree combines advanced Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, programming and engineering problem-solving. Before university, I completed secondary education (Spanish Baccalaureate) in Spain following a scientific curriculum. I also spent an academic year abroad in New York, which strengthened my English, independence and ability to adapt to an international learning environment. I hold a Cambridge C2 qualification in English and am fully fluent in Spanish, English, and Catalan, allowing me to support students confidently in these languages as well as in STEM subjects.

I am a Medical Doctor on a new journey to further my education. I have approximately 5 years of tutoring experience across the board. I mainly started tutoring as a way to learn and retain the content for good grades. I found that when helping my peers I also helped myself improve my grades. In lower level I have experience tutoring Science and Math while in GCSE and A-Level I tutor Chemistry, Biology and Math. In higher level tutoring, i offer services on any Subject health related eg Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology etc. I offer my services to any student who is willing to learn. I am fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili. During my leisure time i enjoy reading a novel, spending time with friends, road trips, baking and movies .
