Levels & Subjects: Primary: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics , Chemistry (AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR) Experience : Taught GCSE and Primary Maths for 2 years Hello, my name is Pelumi and I recently graduated from a Masters in Investment Banking at Queen Mary University of London. The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics. Preferred subject: Maths Preferred student age group: Primary/GCSE My hobbies include reading, travelling, drawing, exercising and I love food and music! I am Nibin Kuzhikkamthadam Roy and I'm very interested in applying for the post of Mathematics Teacher. I completed my post-graduate degree in Actuarial Science at the University of Kent, along with a 2.1 in BSc in Mathematics, and I'm working as a Mathematics Teacher at Technology College, Margate. I am confident that I have the requisite skills and the potential to inspire and encourage children of all abilities to reach their full potential. My work experience and academic knowledge allowed me to experience life in a secondary school setting from a teacher's perspective. I enjoyed the way that every day is different and that each child is unique. I have 4 years of classroom teaching experience and worked as the academic head of the mathematics department. I wrote three academic books for that organization. I started teaching when I was studying in year 12, which is my passion. I worked part-time during my post-graduate time in a child park for helping differently-abled young persons. I am a good orator with communication and debate skills and served as a student member of the board of studies at the University of Kent. I was appointed as an innovation council member of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and also served as School union chairman and College Union General Secretary at the school and college levels. In my school days, I won the mathematics Olympiad prize. These roles have developed my skills in public speaking, liaising with a large number of people, planning, organizing and taking responsibility for managing programs. I have attached my resume, which further details my skills and educational background. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I look forward to hearing from you. Hi! I’m an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a real passion for helping students grow in both knowledge and confidence. Having achieved top results in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at A-Level, completed an independent research project, and scored highly in the UCAT, I’ve built a strong academic foundation alongside effective learning strategies that I now pass on to my students. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with a range of learners at both GCSE and A-Level, tailoring my approach to suit different goals and learning styles. In my lessons, I focus on making learning structured yet engaging, using clear breakdowns of tricky topics, progress checks to track understanding, and step-by-step guidance through exam questions. I place a strong emphasis on active recall, spaced repetition, and regular exam-style practice methods that help students not only understand the material but also develop the confidence to apply it under exam conditions. A typical session often begins with a short exam question to consolidate previous learning, followed by quick knowledge checks to identify gaps, before building skills further with targeted practice. My aim is always to create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel challenged but also equipped to succeed. My academic journey began at the top grammar school in West Yorkshire, which instilled in me a rigorous approach to learning. This strong start led to me attending the most highly-regarded college in the area for my advanced studies. I am now in my first year, passionately pursuing an MPharm degree, a field where I look forward to applying my growing knowledge and making a meaningful impact.

I’m Charlie, a friendly and patient tutor who believes anyone can learn anything. I tailor lessons to your pace, explain tricky ideas clearly, and build real understanding—whether you’re in Year 5 or doing A-Levels, I’ll help you feel confident and capable. I studied at Barnard Castle School, achieving an A* in A-Level Maths alongside studying Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I also earned A** in both GCSE Maths and GCSE Further Maths. My time there built strong problem-solving skills and academic discipline.
