I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Molecular Genetics from Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), which provided me with deep expertise in Biology, Chemistry, and health-related sciences. Following my passion for data-driven analysis and technology, I pursued a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from the American University of Beirut (AUB). This blend of science, analytics, and languages enables me to effectively teach Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and French, ensuring clarity, depth, and practical understanding in each subject.

I’m passionate about learning and helping others reach their potential. I have a keen interest in science and health, and enjoy baking, going to the gym, and spending time in nature. I value patience, organisation and curiosity in both life and learning. I achieved 7 9s and 2 8s in my GCSEs, with 9s in triple science and maths. I achieved A*A*A at A-level, with the two A* in Biology and Chemistry. I also achieved a First Class Honours in my BSc in Medical Pharmacology, and am currently studying MSc Toxicology at the University of Birmingham!

Hi! I'm Simon, a Chemical Engineering Graduate from the University of Manchester, with over three years of teaching and tutoring experience. For the past 3 years I have been running a tutoring business teaching mostly Maths and Science subjects from Year 7 to A-Level. I have also taught Maths and Languages at an international high school in Singapore, and a primary school in the UK. (+DBS) Available weekday evenings, from 5-8pm. I completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester, an accredited pre-chartership qualification within the field. The course covered a wide range of core modules, including Thermodynamics, Process Optimisation, and Fluid Mechanics, in which I achieved consistently high marks, graduating with a First-Class classification at the bachelor's level. A key component of the program was a year-long industrial placement, during which I worked for a chemical distribution company. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insight into the commercial side of chemical engineering and build a practical understanding of supply chains, technical sales, and operations. It also enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the company’s work while developing essential workplace skills such as communication, project management, and adaptability. Since completing my degree, I’ve continued working with the same company, now in a professional capacity with a focus on sustainability. My final-year dissertation centred on sustainable surfactant research, which sparked a deeper interest in the environmental impact of chemical processes. This has led me to transition into a more corporate sustainability role, where I support the integration of sustainable practices across the business.

During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun!
