ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.

I am a 2nd year Maths student at the University of Warwick, with a particular interest in Algebra and Modelling. I have done lots of tutoring for A-level Maths and Further Maths students. Students of mine have gone on to study at prestigious universities including Oxford and Imperial. I am looking to help year 12 and 13 A-level students with their revision before their upcoming exams. Outside of academics, I am a cross country and long distance runner, competing for my university and have completed multiple half marathons and even a marathon. I also play a lot of football at university, and am a big football fan. I am on track for a first class, achieving an average of 90% in first year, placing one of the top of the cohort. I also achieved 4A* at A-level, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I also got a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and have participated in numerous Olympiads, including the Senior Maths Challenge where I achieved a gold certificate.

I have a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Materials Science) at the University of Cambridge, ranking in the top third of my cohort last year. I have tutored at the secondary-level, and have since offered Oxbridge admission prep (ESAT, interview). I teach GCSE and KS3 chemistry & maths. I am currently working as a teaching assistant at a secondary school. During university I have held internships and voluntary roles as an academic representative, college representative, research assistant at a pharmaceuticals company, and web developer creating educational resources for undergraduate materials science, along with a breadth of research projects and other coursework.
