I love being creative, whether it be planning my next lesson for a class or molding something with clay, I am always busy! I am a good balance between introverted and extroverted because I do treasure my alone time for some self care masks and watching a comfort movie. I love reading and spending time with friends and family. I always believe in staying kind because you never know what someone else is going through at home. I love sushi as well! It has most probably always been my favourite food! I am a fourth year student studying Foundation Phase education at Stellenbosch University. I have completed a 360 hour TEFL course, exemplifying my love for the English language. As a specialized Foundation Phase educator, I firmly believe that the knowledge I have gathered will help build strong foundations for my students in their journey to English success. I have a good practical experience and am able to adapt different teaching styles to best suit a students needs. Learning concretely and using movement while learning, although it will be through a screen, makes learning more engaging and a fun way to gain knowledge!

Lower Level: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry GCSE: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry Exam Board experience: AQA and Edexcel (iGCSE) Languages: Fluent English, and can speak Urdu (but not read or write it) Preferred student age group: Primary & GCSE About me: Hi! My name's Uzair, and I'm an undergraduate student studying Chemistry and Molecular Physics at the University of Nottingham. Over my past three years at university, I've learned a lot, and figured it may prove useful to try to help others strive toward realising their best selves as far as academic growth is concerned. Speaking from personal experience, the learning process can feel incredibly daunting at times, but I'm hoping to make it more enjoyable for those who believe that's something they'd benefit from. At GCSE I achieved 5A*s, 3As, 2Bs and a C. My A*s included Maths (which I sat a year early), Physics and Chemistry - and I also got an A in Further Maths. At A-Level I achieved A*A*A - in Maths, Chemistry and Physics respectively. Enjoyed those a lot! At university, I've been studying Chemistry and Molecular Physics. I'll be entering my fourth and final year in September, and am projected to get a 2:1!

I am a first class Mathematics graduate with a PhD in Mathematics (Thesis title: Conditioning of the weak-constraint variational data assimilation problem for numerical weather prediction.). I have over 18 years of tuition and mentoring experience with mainly GCSE, A-level and University level students. I have 14 years experiences as a Scientists and post-doctoral researcher, having previously worked on various projects including; Predicting Solar winds via modelling Coronal mass ejections from the Sun for space weather, Mars weather research, and European Regional Reanalysis Uncertainty Quantification systems for weather forecasts. I take a small number of select students each year, and close my doors once I have this number (no more than 4 usually). I have 18+ years of experience tutoring and mentoring young adults and children ranging from 7-30 years old as a side venture while undertaking research projects simply because I love teaching! I am grateful for the privilege to contribute to the young minds of the future who have a thirst for knowledge. I have taught all exam boards for A levels and GCSE students, including OCR MEI. The levels I have taught range from 11+ (11 plus) candidates, those preparing for Maths challenges (all UKMTs, ie. Olympiad, IMC etc), GCSE, Cambridge STEP, A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and BSc. In addition to private tuition, I have also taught BSc students for 4 years while at University in lecture-supplementary class groups. The modules I am well versed are as follows: Theory of Data Assimilation Numerical Analysis Finite Difference Techniques (particularly for Meteorological weather models, Oceans, etc) Partial and Ordinary Differential Equations Bayesian Theory and Statistics Initial and Boundary Value Problems Vector Calculus Theory of Quantum Mechanics I provoke excellence and tap into the strengths of my students by challenging them and allowing them to naturally evolve in a way best suited to their psychological architecture. I also have a track record of guiding people along their natural grain, pushing them towards their natural strengths. I make an effort to make my lessons not only fun, but relatable to the real world. I create an interactive environment to keep them involved and make them feel that they are learning it themselves with me gently guiding their path. I have a Mathematics PhD, specialising in the technique used to predict the weather, known as Data Assimilation. I am an applied Mathematician. Data assimilation estimates the state of a system, given the observations and our uncertainties in data. I trained as a Mathematician prior to my PhD. I worked for 3 years in industry and realised that I wasn't being challenged. That led me back to do the PhD. I also enjoyed teaching, ensuring that I kept teaching kids and young adults (A level) from the days I was an undergraduate til today.

This academic journey, combined with my teaching experience, allows me to provide learners with both subject expertise and practical strategies to achieve success. In English, I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and critical analysis, helping learners gain the confidence to express themselves clearly and effectively. My Sociology and Psychology teaching draws on my academic knowledge and real-world insights, making lessons engaging and relevant by connecting theory to contemporary issues and everyday life. When should you start 11+ exam revision?
Most of the course content will have been taught in Key Stage 2. If your child has confidently soared through everything, then a few months of revision and plenty of practice can be enough. If there are any problem areas it’s wise to start at least one year in advance.
What should I revise for the 11+ exam?
Revision strategies are tailored to the different exam courses as follows:
Are there 11+ exam online course books available?
You can order the books online and your tutor can advise you on which are the most appropriate. They can also provide a reading list that helps with the English component and verbal reasoning.

What levels can my child get tuition for?
We can help your child support with private 11+ tutoring as well as offering tuition for 11 levels. Choose from a whole host of subjects across the spectrum of school levels including 11+. Your child isn't tied into one subject or level with GoStudent. Your child may need support with 11+ at the moment but as these needs change we can also offer tuition across different levels.
How can your child benefit from 11+ tuition?
The main reason that parents often start to look for a 11+ tutor is to improve their child’s academic performance. It’s needless to say that tutoring will prepare your child for important exams and tests and address specific problem areas that they might have in a particular subject. Your child’s grades and understanding of the subject will improve when working with a tutor but there are also other benefits you might consider when deciding whether to opt for private 11+ tutoring.
