I've always been passionate about language - starting from my early school days, where I would read thesauruses and Atlases memorising all the words and capital cities for pure entertainment! Now, I focus on helping students enjoy and remember what they learn, making every lesson both captivating and effective. With a degree in Media, Culture & Social Sciences from the University of the West of England and as a fully qualified TEFL teacher, I bring a rich blend of cultural insight and academic excellence to my English teaching. As you might have guessed, I’m passionate about animals—I have three dogs at home who I absolutely adore! One of my proudest achievements is earning my black belt in karate in 2020, a milestone I reached alongside some of my closest friends. It was a memorable and rewarding experience for all of us. I’ve also climbed the UK’s Three Peaks before turning 18, which was both physically and mentally challenging, but incredibly fulfilling. Having completed most of my A-levels through online learning during lockdown, I understand firsthand the challenges students face in remote education. I am currently studying at the University of Chester doing a Bachelors of Science degree in Bioveterinary Science.

With more than 11 years of experience as a Maths Teacher and being a well-rounded educator, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students in key stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, thus enhancing my teaching techniques and instructional methods. I currently teach GCSE Maths and also A level Maths and IBDP MAA and MAI at college. Hello all!! My name is Huma, and I am in my third year of MPharm. In my gap year after A-Levels, I volunteered at St Peter’s Hospital. I worked with patients, where I helped them work through their worries and concerns. I also was a lunchtime aid, where I helped patients who struggled with their eating. I have connections with successful medical school applicants, and have personal experience with the UCAT, as well as tips when it comes to acing it.
