Hi! My name is Ilter and I’m a first year undergraduate at the University of Bath studying Computer Science. I enjoy solving mathematical and real-world problems, and finding efficient ways to do so. This paired with the computational power of programming is at the heart of my love for computer science. I hope that I can use these skills to contribute back to the community in the future. Outside school, I like to stay fit by partaking in a range of activities like running, swimming and football. I also like to read in my spare time and love to watch movies as well. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth

As a Chemical Engineering student, my academic journey is rooted in the fundamentals of sciences and mathematics. I developed a great foundation in sciences by studying double science, mathematics and other subjects for GCSEs and biology, chemistry and mathematics for A-levels. This lead to paving the path for my pursuit in higher education. During my A-levels, I loved sciences more and I always found it intriguing.
